Wasn't it always like that? But with lan latency plugin, it somehow fixes the lag when watching replays in high speed.
And as single player won't use the launcher, the lag will still be there.

Ugh, I get "BNUpdate has stopped working" whenever I try to patch, both through b.net and through the downloadable exe.

First, hello to you all, since this is my first post here. Second, please excuse and warn me if replying to this thread isn't the right thing to do (since it's 2 months old), but it seemed like a best option to me.
Me and my frineds play there and then, and now had a great game which lasted 2 hours, but we have issues watching the replay. The replay halts when we paused the game the first time - actually Starcraft blocks - and only ctrl+alt+del enables to exit the game. Can this in any way be fixed for this particular replay? I'm willing to do anything, no matter how complicated, to get it to work. Thank you in advance for your help

I think http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=99213 should hold the fix to your problem, assuming you guys were chatting during the pause.

the thread is 14months old. try to watch it with iccup launcher, since it has some kind of replay fix if i remeber correct and dont speed up the replay first 5minutes (at least this 2 things always worked for me).

Thanks for your assistance, I managed to get it to work with Chaos Launcher and repfix plugin. Now, for the next issue, I think the last this concerning: I have some replays that BWChart reports as 1.11. I tried setting Starcraft with SCV Selector to 1.11 and 1.11b but in both cases the replay gets broken after some time. Is it possible that the version is falsely reported, or could it be something else? Thank you once again

Any help on the above guys? If you could tell me some foolproof method of detecting with which version replay was saved, it would suffice.

There is no good way to find out which patch was used. All tools only guess using the date the replay was recorded. And since BWChart hasn't been updated much recently, it's list is missing the current versions. Perhaps try the version repdepot tells you when you upload the replay.
Repdepot has a nice page on using older replays too.
