How did it work for you to begin with? For me, SC is on the primary monitor, and when it's maximized, the resolution changes, so the secondary monitor resolution changes too and all the windows look super big. I can't move my mouse out of broodwar into the other window -- can you do that? It'd be nice to chat or do other stuff while waiting for people to join etc without having to alt-tab.
BW used let the mouse run off the screen, which was really annoying cuz you would move off the screen and click and then it alt-tabs you while you were playing. In 1.12 or so they fixed it so the cursor won't run off the screen and cause you to alt-tab.

There is input lag in battle net menus. Gameplay seems normal though.

Yeah, I'd imagine that the error results from the same thing I was seeing. I'm not sure where exactly in the code the infinite loop occurred, but I assume it was something to do with processing actions. It was basically reading from a memory location, checking if it was below 0 yet, and if so, jumping out. But the value in memory never changed, so it obviously never ended. I tried simply short-circuiting it so it would jump out once, but that made SC crash. Gonna work on it some more in a sec and I should be able to narrow down the cause better.

*UPDATE*
Official information:
Starcraft and Brood War Patch Information
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- — patch 1.16.1 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Feature Changes
— In-game Speed Options menu now has a «Enable CPU Throttling» checkbox. Enabling this option will allow StarCraft to consume fewer CPU cycles. By default this option is off.
Bug Fixes
— Fixed an issue with the reply feature where any character followed by a «r „ was being treated as a reply. — Removed an unnecessary delay when processing palette cycling updates. — Lessened the imposed delay in the CPU Throttling feature.

Especially since that info was posted a little bit down the first page of this thread

I can't update SC because he say me that it don't find the file "battle.snp"
t_t, someone know the reason ?
|

Ok, now it worked. I only had to log on twice to ABYSS and NOT to Battlenet. Strange !?!
|
I found the reason : I had to update in 1.16.0 for create the "battle.snp", and, update to 1.16.1
It's stupid ^_^

leave it with 1.15.3 jesus! Oh well back to hamachi untill they fixed it or goes back to 15.3 T_T as usual

"plz guys do NOT SWITCH to 1.16.1 the replaywithtext is just anoyjng BUT if u pause a game and write (whats in 100% the fact cause of sec, go?, phone ...) the replay is BROKEN thats very easy to use for abuse !!!! just pause game say OH SRY and continue then u can use forbidden bugs disc or even MINERALHACK and no one can proof it without replay ... most enemys will not even KNOW it cause they cant check replay !!!! PLZ DONT CHANGE or 90% of gamers will abuse " edit: Ah I see it's been mentioned already here too, but in light of this it does seem that ICCUP should definitely not switch. If it ain't broke why fix it. Until this chat in replay=invalid replay thing is fixed there is no reason to update. But i think the replays gets corrupted AFTER somebody is using chat during pause, so if someone uses mineralhack or something like that and abuses this bug to get the replay corrupted, you still can see the replay up to that point (so you could see the mineralhack) i think what he is talking about is that the hacker could premptively pause the game, type and then load the hacks/use them... sadly i think this corruption stuff is true cuz it seems like the replays from the korean 2vs2hunters pack that was released on tlnet some time ago bugged out after the game was paused and somebody asked whether to go or not... hope this got fixed in 1161 too cuz apparently this was true for 116 (tec27 if you want to know aht i mean by bugged: scbw doesnt crash, its just that the recorded commands are replayed wrong like when using wrong sc version to watch, f.e. massive addition of idle workers and the like.. hope you can find the root of this problem and purge it, big thx for your attempts in advance ;] ) Hmm, that sounds like just standard replay corruption. The version was from the 1.16+ patch? As I said, I encountered a lock-up bug when I tested it out, but the corruption definitely sounds problematic though.
these reps are from 1.16 so it could be blizz fixed that issue already, but i dont know anything more certain T_T
btw you can get those reps from this thread:
2vs2 hunters replays ckbtv (korean 2on2 league apparantly)

Seems I've managed to get it fixed. http://depositfiles.com/files/gcodcclr2
I want to ask anyone who have time and wanna help please do some testing. If everything works fine I will upload the sources and merge it with ICCup Launcher.
Thanks.

I was testing a bit, and I found no rep bug, at least not with Obs. If BWChart is any indication, the chat data gets stored as an observer(or possibly replay creator) "move" action with ASCII parameters, and all the chat text runs together when paused. However, there are identifiers for each player before text. Ex. "01 49 20 6C 6F 76 65 20 52 57 54 (followed by garbage ASCII, probably internal identifiers)" becomes "[first player]: I love RWT" (the "01" at the start identifies the player). I haven't tested sufficiently on 1 on 1. However, since KeSPA sanctioned games are always Obs-ed, there shouldn't be a problem.
EDIT: Tested LAN game 1 on 1 with computer. No issues seemed to present themselves. My BO kept going as I had done it. Perhaps another player is required to make it screw up in 1 on 1.
EDIT 2: If anyone is planning to update BWChart to display the text in a human-readable format, it should be noted that non-roman scripts (i.e. 한굴) need to be interpreted using the right code table. I'm not sure if it is UTF-8 or one of those proprietary Microsoft code tables.

There is some lag on the mini-map when watching replays in single player with this new patch. Anyone else notice this?

Replays tend to bug if you watch them using the replay function. Did you try watching it as a single player ums?

Does it also occur if the CPU-saving is disabled? I think this bug had been reported for 1.16.0 first, so it might be related to the cpu saving feature.
