Update Lilsusie had a chance to sit down and ask Jaedong a few more questions. I was going to edit it to remove the interruptions from the lecaf coach but they are too funny haha. Enjoy.
Lilsusie translated this interview for The.Crow at WCG earlier today. Enjoy
First interview with susie <object classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" width="468" height="402" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0"><param name="src" value="http://blip.tv/play/gRPY1l0A" /><embed type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="468" height="402" src="http://blip.tv/play/gRPY1l0A"></embed></object>
Susie you just let us down massively... how can you ask progamers to do unit sounds but do none yourself? Now everyone will be thinking TL is just a bunch of raving hypocrites!
and right now I am uploading videos where Susie and I interviewed Luxury and JaeDong (I can say already that i got limited about the questions which I could ask to JaeDon ;p but he gave anyways really long and interesting answeres)

It was definitely an interesting interview.
The Luxury one was pretty cool as well; it's nice to hear that they really enjoy playing abroad.
Interesting that he think everyone should play together more often. Maybe if their were more tournaments open to everyone, with decent prizes, we might eventually see some foreign stars. Not that the foreigners aren't good at the moment, but having the chance to play against Koreans often and the added incentive of being able to make money might raise their game. I guess we'll wait for SC2 to see if that happens.
yeah, i noticed right after I did the handshake that it was pretty wrong. Just used to it, since i do it normally in interviews. Can tell you already, didn't do it in the JaeDong one haha
question regarding his nick, how does he want to be called? practice, park chan-su or luxury? i'm asking because OGN commentators were surprised that foreign ppl call him luxury.

I hope you're not saying that just because Crow isn't a native English speaker? He's not awkward at all, his questions are great and he carries himself well. Hands down the best, most professional English interviewer I've seen in the SC scene.
Why is he a "stereotype nerd"? Because he's skinny and wears glasses? Come on.
It feels really hard somehow to interview the Koreans for me, since you cannot just do like that 'conversation' that is normally possible with players that are fluent in English. But yeah, I will work on to improve interviews with Koreans (and also a couple things in the other interviews).
Susie really wants me to interview Stork tomorrow, I guess we gonna do that then hehe
Meanwhile, you can check an interview with RoX.Bruce a college by me did if you want, it is here. Actually we did this cause Bruce got his whole face painted in the colors of the Russian flag.
Am I the only one who can't see the videos? They were working just fine, but since the Jaedong one was added I can't watch any of them. EDIT nevermind as soon as I posted this they stopped being gray frames and started working again. Weird anyway,

Your welcome, spotlight stealing nerd! <3 :D
You're so fucking awesome., thanks for all the interviews :D!
Great stuff. Crow you rule, my advice to you would be - straighten up man, pull your shoulders back and you'll look 50% less nerdy, but who am I to say this. Great job.
Also, Bruce has a stereotypical Russian accent hehe, and Androide taking games from the Koreans in practice games?
Why are all interviews with the koreans so unpersonal? It feels like every questions and answer are very similar in the same polite manner. But I guess they are media trained to answer like they do.
Aww Jaedong is too nervous to look at the camera... I LOL'd when I saw his coach in the background...I have a feeling that he is very sensitive about what happens to JD because he was the person that probably disallowed the question

yeah, they all seem very militaristic...with a few exceptions....its just gaming LoL...they're mad serious about gaming...i understand its their job as progamers...but its still a freakin game. its probably just the culture difference. They all seem very very cold and rigid.
and please STOP asking that question about foreigners style and how it might be a threat to them because its sooo different woouuuuhhh... they have to improvise and fabricate a bullshit answer to try to circumvent the blatant fact that all foreigners are hardcore newbies compared to them.

Get rA in there!
unacceptable post
I'm sorry about that post. I was way out of line. Not that it's a valid excuse, but I had the absolute worst of days yesterday (had my shoes stolen in central stockholm and had to go home in socks) and I suppose that rubbed off on how I expressed myself.
Crow absolutely deserves tons of credit for carrying out these interviews with the people and players we love to watch (still can't help feeling the minor awkwardness though ). Before I ramble on too much; sorry about that - it was way out of line. Bottom line: You didn't deserve that. I was a twat. Sorry.
Why isn't jaedong allowed to talk about his loss? They are talking about that loss vs stork right?
And one question that's been in my mind for a while and since this is a wcg thread i thought i might ask but is this the last year for starcraft to be in wcg?! Anyone have a definitive answer?
is it just me or are "stork's" interviews actually lux's edit: minor nitpicking, but also noticed that thread title says JD, Stork and Yellow (not Lux)
yo itsuki/ilovektf, zeneil just confirmed that he is here, haha, I hope he passes by Katipunan for me to chance upon him or some Koreans in the area, have a game or two with them, haha.

yay Philippines.
well, maybe ArtUnit/SteelHeart and the other guys can confirm this, why is he here? Is he scouting for players??
O yea, ArtUnit challenged me into a game last night and I got scared and overwhelmed.
haha... I was holding the camera and the coach noticed that I was Filipino. I guess it's pretty easy to tell huh =P. Yeah so apparently he was talking to me through lilsusie and I found out that the coach's brother is from the Philippines and lives in Makati (I used to live there). I talked to the coach later and found that he went to Boracay and other places and goes to the Philippines once a year. He's a pretty cool guy. He said the people there were really nice =).

Really? Cool!! Makati is a pretty big place with lots of mall around. The guys at the forum (our Starcraft forum) thinks that he is here to take advantage of our low rates, an hour at a pc shop here costs half a dollar, haha.
Anyway, are Filipinos really that easy to tell from other Asians?
tell Lecaf's coach to visit Bohol, Philippines and I will give him free tour. he only needs to spend for the airplane, in exchange for Lecaf Oz Merchandise!!!

which forum? phgamers or pinoystarcraft? or is there another one?
everyone guesses my nationality pretty easily because of the dark skin. and everything is ridiculously cheap in the philippines so of course people take advantage =p.
i dont know why he lives there.. i dont know if he is associated with gaming even.. i should have asked that. isnt steelheart far from makati?
oh n .. people call us pinoy.. i do hear flips too though.
Yeah, I think flips is the derogatory term, pinoys are better..
and yeah, not all pinoys are dark skinned, I have fair skin, now white not dark. Things get different though when you count in the Filipina-Chinese here, haha.
oh wait, there is phgamers? I only know pinoystarcraft..haha..

i believe it's more of a cultural thing? when they talk to audiences in korea (aka itnerviews) they say everything in formal speech because they are talking to a wide range of audience and thus don't know who will be watching it's all very formal
i think this just carries over to any interview they do
