Couldn't tanks placed along the perimeter of the diamond attack wall-ins and other such shenanigans near the cliffs to the mains? Not to mention your rally point (especially for toss) can get fucked up by cliff tanks.

I like how the island expos are like RIGHT next to the mains.

How would a zerg player go about breaking those eggs on plasma? Terrans can get tanks, tosses can just use goons. Not many early zerg units do over 10 damage... so you'd have to be hacking away at those eggs for a WHILE before they break until lurks.

Edit: Actually, tosses seem to have the advantage in that respect. Tank and lurk timings are pretty similar.

Well... I guess mutas fly over or lurks break so zergs are stuck in their base till lair. Toss have the advantage cause even zeals can break that given some time.

It will be less of a death lock compared to Blue Storm because I don't think you can guard both entrances and thus the complete middle. In BS that's easy.

First map: Return of the King = My name is Terran, I can turtle more.

IMO 2008 play on earlier 2000ish maps just don't work TvP .

that first map is guaranteed to have another 50 tvt proleague games on it

ive always wondered how it feels like to be a terran user and have nearly all the maps be made so they can have an advantage... must be nice !

RotK looks great, hard to tell if there's an imbalance, every single square counts these days. I think on horizontal and vertical positions terran might be slightly better. Whatever, it's nice to see old design again.
I'm pretty sure Plasma is imbalanced in some matchups, at least I can't imagine it being balanced at all. I hope I'm wrong, please god.

Protoss can probably clear the eggs the fastest, since it's first to get a unit that does more than 10 damage (Dragoon). Zealot won't work since it does 2x8 damage, not 16, so they'll end up doing only 2 damage per hit to the eggs.

Before you go to a third page debating the balance issues the "zerg eggs" create, can we first confirm that they are eggs and not chrysalis? If it's eggs, it's basically an island map. If not, it's like any other map with temporary doodad barriers.
