As it was a cross-position situation and he did not see too many lings, he decided that he had little to fear from his oppo at that moment and in turn decided to wing it and put down a third nex. He goes on to say that "Some of you may consider this as a сheek move, but as some wise people have been quoted to say 'Cheekiness is the second fortune'" (Note: I don't know how to translate this . . . could be analogous to luck favours the brave) When he sees the second gas being taken and two sunkens being built, he is convinced that Z is going mutalisks, but is completely thrown off by the hydra rush. He decides to sacrifice the natural and switching to zealots and templars. After he rebuilds his natural he goes hunting after the Z army, he provokes an attack with the help of Z's overlord at the 3 expo and kills the army. When he sees the Mutas he is again thrown off but makes a successful counter-attack killing off most of Z worker units and buys enough time to get archons and cannons. Because the Z has so many mutas, he builds a giant red ball saying that "it is not a very orthodox move, but in this case it can recoup itself very well if used correctly". It was very hard to discern his comments at times because he set the game volume quite high and at times he was supressed by it. . . but that was the gist of it. Hope that helps.
