I know that there's a lot of hate for FBH for his hilarious dances after his wins vs. Savior, but go.go seems to have garnered some hatred.
When I first heard about this guy, it was a controversial game where the P (I think it was ever TT) blocked his ramp with 2 probes, and go.go used the carry mineral bug to bypass the wall. The P paused and asked if that was against the rules. In the end, the game continued and the P lost and was really pissed.
After that, there was some trash-talking in I believe MSL group selection, where he picked someone (Hwasin?) for being easy (sorry, I don't have the translation, I'm failing at the search function), and he retorted with something along the lines of "I won't lose to a bug using terran."
So... spoiler alert from this point forward (up to May 12 proleague)
Fast forward to May 3 of this year, when go.go played FBH + Show Spoiler +
go.go went up to FBH's booth and did a *bang bang* gun shot ceremony to FBH, which I actually found pretty cool
Now apparently, go.go has a reputation of being disrespectful and really bm in his games, building CC's inside his opponent's base and stuff like that. Apparently, he's done that to Best in the past and really pissed Best off. On May 12, these two guys faced off against each other and... + Show Spoiler +
During the game, Best won a few huge battles and was ahead enough that he was able to get a probe in go.go's base and he built a nexus at two different locations, one of them was actually a pretty fortified spot. I don't even know how he got his probe that far.
After the game, Best immediately went up to go.go's booth and did a *bang bang* ceremony
I guess my question is, is the hate for go.go really widespread? Is it just Best and a few others that hate go.go or is it common among pro gaming to hate him?
And if so, is go.go the most hated player in the history of pro-gaming? I know that among teamliquid, FBH is most hated. I personally love FBH's silly dances, and I had no idea about go.go's bm reputation.

The replay flash's hotkeys and savior's hotkeys look weird though so makes me doubt. Reading the comments i think its a fake nevermind And the game was on udp. Savior wont make his name like that on udp -_- okay this weakens my argument 개망신

This is only my impression from what I've seen, but this is the difference between FBH and go.go. FBH acts like a douche to the public for the sake of fun, while being a generally decent guy to everyone who knows him personally (as stated by people in various threads, and as well as nevergg's testimony and he constant dickish-yet-endearing posing he does).
go.go on the other hand, really seems to have it in for some people, or has some other progamers really in it for him. Ie, there's some malice be going down.

And I can’t understand people that gets so upset over FBH's dance, for example Best's thumbs down ceremony was 1000x times more BM then the dance since it really meant to show (You sucks). Where the dance feels more like a wining celebration and it’s only because he did it to savior that people are whining, if he had done that to say mingu not a soul would have cared...
I have no problems about these ceremonies and thinks is nice to see that progamers can express their joy to, even if it means running a victory lap around the booths or giving back for earlier embarrassments by giving your opponent a thumbs down.
I don't think most people have a problem with his dancing (unless they take offense to it based on how horrible he is at it, but that's the charm I think), it's simply the time he danced AROUND savior that is the issue. Other than that, I think he just plays with a lot of spirit and it gets the best of him, good or bad.
A lot of people hate Frozean, but I don't know if that's strictly at TL or not.
Goodfriend always gets a decent amount of talk in his direction, mostly for being 'boring', but I don't know how you can hate someone who is on the losing end of so many of the best games in SC history.
I'd say both Chalrenge and Rock are the 'love or hate' types. Rock especially, as he's completely nuts sometimes. I could see myself disliking him if I ever met him, but it's impossible not to laugh when he's yelling at his partner for 10 minutes straight in a 2v2.
The top players at any given time usually get a lot of hate, usually depending on race and which previous top players they beat. I myself am guilty of favoring older players like Ra, Boxer, Yellow, Reach, etc over pretty much everyone, even newer players I really like.
Also of note are any of the various players who end up making it to the round of 16 in the OSL/MSL and lose horribly there after.
I hate Stork, no real reason. He just bothers me every time I see him. Not even when he makes a fool of himself by wearing a dinosaur suit and posing like he's taking a dump can I say I like him. Maybe I just don't like his face.... either way I dislike him very much.
i really like go.go actually. he really impressed me with a game where he biomechs pretty well vs. Pusan on Troy. Though yeah, he is very BM. He builds CC in Pusan's base at that game.
I'm annoyed that people say that Idra is BM when there are players like that.
Didn't go.go send Firebats into FBH's base when FBH was about to lose? Something like that anyway, props for being somewhat clever, but boo for trying to steal FBH's role as the controversial T.

I wouldn't say this is anything serious just yet. In the past, there were a few incidents of serious hatred, but not many. The most prominent would probably be Autumn's resentment towards Boxer. Autumn basically railed into Boxer saying he only had a few smart tricks and that otherwise he was nothing special at all. Of course, Autumn never went far and I think Boxer crushed him every time they fought. However, Autumn and Garimto were friends and Garimto sided with Autumn at the time. Ironically, Garimto later became known as a strategic player who would use "clever tricks" like proxying tech and shit.
There are many hated and "BM" players out there, but obviously FBH is the only one who gets the most publicity because of him doing it to Savior... which has a large fanbase on tl.net. Chalrenge did a crotch ceremony to Odin.. nobody fucking cares, GoGo did a silly ceremony to FBH... and still nobody fucking cares... the list goes on, but when FBH dances alone on the stage like an idiot... 75% of tl.net goes batshit insane.
Honestly, I think the progamer most people hate is actually Flash. As far as I can tell, a lot of people strongly dislike dominant gamers, for beating all of their favorites. Also, I've noticed a startling number of people bitching about how terran is an imba cheese race full of nubs (which is of course false, a real mans cheese is a 4-pool).

go.go first impressed me during the MBC vs OGN show match awhile ago. He took out MBC players left and right, buildings CC's in their main and afterwards, walking to the MBC team's table, and doing some sort of gesture. The crowd loved it! After each kill, the commentators and the Camera would look to Bisu. Even during go.go's ceremony, the camera was on Bisu because Bisu's reaction was what everyone wanted to see, not go.go's ceremony. After losing 3 times in a row (I believe... this was a long time ago) MBC finally sent out Bisu. Everybody was screaming. Bisu must have been swimming in his own hype. It was as if they were dealing with a rabid dog, and after all the whining and moaning, Bisu stood up to finally do the dirty deed that nobody else could do. He showed no doubt or fear.
Bisu did defeat go.go, but the game was incredibly close. I don't remember Bisu's ceremony but I'm sure it was great. Ever since this series, I've had a lot of respect for go.go. When he has the momentum, he can play very, very well. And every time I see him build a command center in someone's base, I giggle inside.

I for one hate Pusan and Canata. They allways lose and people still like them for no reason. They sometimes qualify barly to the group stages of the indivudual leagues but can never get further. Terato is the same but he can't even qualify for anything.

I enjoy that there are some progamers like Go.go and FBH who do ceremonies and some BM things. It gives this sport villains.. Real villains, not some random 'Savior is portrayed as a villain because... we need one', but real villains who we can love to hate.
It makes the meta game more fun and exciting, especially with MSL group selection process and things like this.
I like to imagine that behind the scenes everyone is fairly friendly. That may not be the case with Go.Go, but who knows :D
Honestly, I don't really know what it is but my favorite players are Jaedong and sAviOr (start playing better sAviOr) but high on my list is Rock and Stork and everyone else hates them TT. The people I really hate are fuckers who play super boring and super bad. I hate watching some idiotic kid proxy gate and eliminate someone a shit load better then them and one of my favorite players (YES I'M TALKING ABOUT BACKFUCKINGHO). I hate watching players who have really bad build orders every single game and get raped. I really hate ceremonies which make our pros look less like professional athletes and more like children playing a video game.

And I used to hate DaeZanG for the same reason as Mumyung, he fucken blew and it was pointless to watch him when ACE began but now he is one of the only players in the entire pro scene who plays PvT intelligently on the new maps and is raping it up, now hes on the favorite list ^^.

I can't speak for everyone on this, but I think a lot of the hate is directed at the incredible rate at which Flash has been hyped around here. Of course, he's been ridiculous lately, but it was before that when he was hyped like crazy because he had 'such a hard road in every league' and still won sometimes. If you ask me, those challenging matches are the only reason he's this good today. Not many players get that many chances to play the best players in meaningful matches that early in their career.
As for cheesing, I personally dislike being deprived of seeing players like Jaedong and GGPlay in mid-late game, but I also realize that it's much smarter play not to let them get there. The zerg fans are always going to get the best of the cheese argument though, because zerg progamers very very rarely even 9pool, let alone 4-5pool. And by the way, if anyone's cheese was actually art and not cheese, it was Ra, not Boxer.

Well, I don't think that's the reason. Flash was hyped was because he was breaking the "youngest" record everywhere and he was strong. He had an unprecedanted start to his career with a stunning winning record of 15-3 and a nice 9 game win streak vs. protoss. Then after his match with bisu, the general opinion turned against him and he had to redeem himself. He was recognized for his potential and raw talent. It might play a small part, but in no way those challenging matches are the only reason he is good today. Remember he had to win and win again to even have a chance to face those players. A lot of players play dominant players early in their careers (some even win) but then just continue on in their mediocrity.
hmmm i dont like FBH when he doesnt respect Savior but it seems go.go doesnt have respect for anybody... doing gun shot to FBH and thumbs down to Best and building cc in their base is jacked up...

it's pretty much just spamming return cargo with an worker holding something. In go.go.'s case, his opponent had his ramp pretty well blocked, so he just got his scouting scv (carrying a mineral) as close to them as possible and repeatedly spammed return to put his scv in the "gather mineral" mode where they can go over units, using it to go over the block.
I personally was a huge fan of Chalrenge. Cocky, arrogant, but SMOOTH sob. All the other people with their ceremonies look awkward and nerdy (looking at you Midas), but Chalrenge was so slick. Plus, his battle for tie with rock was amazing.

go.go ended the game by planting a CC in Best's base, basically spelling out "this is how much I own you" and in an interview after the PL-game he was going on about how easy his win was, because Best is such a bad player.

go.go was on the list of player I hate, mainly due to looking like a stereotype nerd, but lately I find his overly "build CC on your natural" GTFO-style funny, because hes actually overdoing it. Also he does have really good vult/wraith micro, and is the kind of guy who can beat anyone TvP, and TvT. TvZ, however he sucks fucking balls, and is why he'll never win anything.

Jangbi was one of those 'lol I'm a mediocre protoss who gets into a starleague because of maps and lucky matchups' players at the start, which is why he draws a lot of hate. Personally, I also dislike players who get far in the OSL/MSL but are destined to lose to their one uber weak matchup (or get lucky and don't face that matchup). Stork, I'm looking at you.

Man, I don't know if it's good fortune or just naivety, but I get the feeling that a lot of people have no idea what "to hate" means or what people who hate each other act like. I haven't seen anyone in professional Starcraft who even remotely seems to hate anyone. They're a fun gang of people who seem to generally have a fun time playing games and joking around with each other. If you want to see a sport where players actually hate each other, try watching ice hockey some time.

I think people are confused as to what kind of profession Starcraft is. Some people see progamers as entertainers while some others see them as e-athletes. Thinking along that line, I think that when Firebathero tries to play both parts, he gets...well...a lot of hate for it. Especially since he ragged on THE Savior.

Exactly. Did you see him on B.Net Atack? When he started in on Stork? I'm paraphrasing here, but the question was addressing his cartoonish confidence by asking what he thought of Stork's performance on b.net attack, losing to the random player. FBH was like "I thought : 'What are you doing, Stork?? You call yourself a progamer?' That's what I thought."
And that's his teammate - obviously someone he actually doesn't feel that sort of contempt for. It's all just a mix of show and personality.
