The reason is he wasn't . Shuttle has better macro the whole game. It's 6 Gates vs 4 Gates for a long time, and I think he probably has more probes too. Ruin wins that fight but just barely. One of the indicators that Shuttle wasn't losing is that he's still up in supply during that entire sequence. His reinforcements are just about on time so that the most actual damage Ruin can deal to him is just a few probes. That said Ruin is definitely ahead though but he doesn't steadily capitalise on that. Instead he probably thought that he had the game in the bag already and made a couple of wasteful attacks after. The game is about 50/50 before the Shuttle's decisive push, in which Ruins shoots himself in the foot by splitting his army in two parts, neither of which being able to accomplish anything. | ||
