Tier 1 are all good and Tier 4 are all weak, so the imbalance comes from Tiers 2 and 3 Groups B and F are very weak with weak Tier 2 and Tier 3 players- B: Shuttle is a weaker Tier 2 player (only Tier 2 mainly because of his ASL 1 win) and Barracks a weaker Tier 3 player F: Mong is 2nd weakest Tier 2 player (only Shine worse) and Horang2 is weakest Tier 3 player Contrast that to Groups A and C that are tough due to stronger Tier 2 and 3 players- A: Best (best Tier 2 player by far) and Sacsri (underrated Tier 3, once beat Flash in ASL) C: Sharp (probably tied for 2nd best Tier 2 player) and Royal (Tier 3 player who is better than most Tier 2 players) Probably would have been more balanced to switch Best and Shuttle and switch Sharp with Mong (also they put JD in a group with the weakest Tier 2 player (Shine) and a Tier 1 protoss (Snow), this is designed for JD to progress LOL) | ||

Looking forward to the games and the return of some old crazy maps like Arkanoid. In the past I would have not been happy to see a weird map like Arkanoid but Terran players (Light in particular) have pulled out wins with wraith + marine medic play even versus Protoss so I'm looking forward to see some weird strategies. | ||

Odyssey is just a zerg map... I agree for nemesis being good for zerg, lurker drops and contains look so deadly against protoss and tarran has hard time preventing 4 gas zerg. But Arkanoid and Sylphid depend heavily on starting spawns related to balance. It actually seems to be okay for tarran if you get horizontal spawn against z or t. Cross is obviliously nasty in tvp (Carrierprinter brrr) but othervise even zvt is not too bad. For some reason JD and Soulkey seem to prefer hydralurk in Araknoid instead of ultraling. | ||
