MBCGame ran a new show this week where HERO players hop on Battle.net and tear some poor amateurs apart. From what I've seen so far, they don't play off-races, and not all of them pull punches. It ain't pretty, but it's entertaining.
The show was live and on a schedule, and the pros don't smurf, so I imagine most of the amateurs know what's they're up against.
FPVOD view with commentary by the commentators and the players themselves. Episode 1: Sea[Shield] (3 games)
Episode 1, Sea[Shield] short game descriptions: + Show Spoiler +
1. TvT on Monty Hall versus skilled player in gosu channel (didn't catch which), 6 players obs 2. TvT on Lost Temple versus random who joined his game 3. TvZ on Lost Temple versus random who joined his game
Ohh thanks I was trying to d/l them from dc inside but the links had already reached their 100 & 200 people limits By the way, this is shown live and the people who play against the pros actually get messaged from other people who are watching the show live. It means they'll know where exactly to send their scout, what the pro is building, etc. But one guy from Sea's games said that he'll turn off wispers and not watch the TV for a fair (lol) game. This is basically like the comedian vs Reach except a little less of a handicap.
edit:
The show was on a schedule (not sure if it was live), and the pros don't smurf, so I imagine most of the amateurs know what's they're up against.
Yeah it was on once a day for five days and the pros didn't smurf in the beginning but from what I saw in Sea's games, he had to smurf because he'd get disconnected due to a hundred people trying to join his game (when the room name went on TV).
If a pro lost a game, it would just make the show more entertaining. And the pro would probably just laugh about it, unless it's Xellos. Sea looked like he was having fun.
Man!! i wished i am able to play one of these guys. most of you will probably want to give a shot too, but chances are they'll play users that are able to speak korean too. only if i could...

can someone give a short description or something, i don't want to see pure newbie bashing but if they use an interesting strategy or it turns into a GG etc.
It's a the pro and 2 presenters in a small studio with a PC set up and they all commentate and laugh and w/e as the game goes along. Its very light hearted but really entertaining.

What I find funny is that in a lot of these, the player was aware that they were on TV, and so for some of them the players would say that they had to turn the TV off (they probably didn't). It's hilarious because the commentators know that the opponent is probably watching the TV too. It's pretty much a free maphack.
In the last Bisu game he said he was going to win within 10 minutes because the show was about to end... + Show Spoiler +
but his opponent knew that and said that he would just drag the game to more than 10 minutes, and he ended up cannoning himself in. And then when Bisu said he was getting DTs the commentators made sure to state that loudly and clearly over and over so that the opponent would be able to hear it on TV. "HE'S GOING TO DT DROP, IT'S A DT DROP, DT DROP, THIS IS A DT DROP" lol
He has Sea, Bisu, and Sharks vids up but I haven't seen the rest. The other ones that he hasn't uploaded was what I was requesting, but if Baezzi will upload the rest I will wait for him to do it.

You don't get A+ by playing 50 games... More like 100-150.
How much time do they have? was it 10 or 15 minutes each game?

Light looses a game, but it later turns out he played one of his team mates ^^
This reminds me of that show on spike, pros vs joes, professional athletes face off vs pretty much normal people (except they arent your stereotypical fat redneck nascar fan) or osmething like that, they are usually in decent shape with some sort of sports background.

The novelty of owning some random bnet noob quickly wore off and it got really really boring.
They should give them handicaps like no tanks or goons or they have to nuke rush. Something better than the boring 10 min noob bashing
It's probably better if you speak Korean because you get the rare opportunity to hear the player themselves explain what is going on in the game, instead of just an outside commentators guesses.

Terran, Xellos[C.J] was nice, 309 apm, 28min pvt. He spammed GooD LucK at the beginning of the game, and in game, just like him, and he dropped and microed like crazy... anyway to find out!? anyone?
edit: i played like a complete newb, so if you ask me to host rep plz dont flame! i was totally shaking :x
If you're serious, host the rep. We're not going to laugh at your performance, it's not like everyone here is an amazing gosu or anything (despite what many people would have you think).

i killed all but 6 scvs, but ok, yea ur right? or no? maybe it wasnt him, but ur an idiot for saying that when you have no real clue either?

Opportunity? How is it an "opportunity"? The show is for entertainment purposes. Saint delivered an added dimension of entertainment. Bitching about it makes you, well a bitch
