Wait, but who will be the teams? The old corporate teams long since left bw, so who is gonna hire the players, pay them money, and get them to wear sponsored gear for matches? Or is this gonna be just "fake" teams created by AfreecaTV that have no real structure behind them? Like they use ASL placement levels to determine that each team has similar caliber of players. Im completely cool if its the latter but would be nice to know it. Given the status of BW as third or fourth biggest esport in korea, it makes sense if we have to settle with so called "fake"teams and still get to cheer for someone at least

I think they’ll do a snake draft. Like have top ASL seeds as captains picking players from a pool. They could broadcast it too which would be cool.

yup, last ATB 3 years ago they had the top 8 of the ASL pick 3 players each. shld be the same format still.

the idea that the CEO is floating around is that it might not be part of the ASL cycle like the previous incarnation was, if so maybe there is a chance for larger seasons and more static teams which I'm way more into.

Proleague has always been the best part of professional BW to me, so to see anyting come close to that would make me quite happy.
