the foot thing is extremely unprofessional but also pretty much the best. it sucks cuz i like lx a lot but it's nice to have some spiciness in a 20-year-old game

also i think the foreign scene has their own wondrous experience with him, when they try to invite him for that russian lan i presume? at least by now thanks to korean audience pressure+being a parent has made him more mature and mellowed...somewhat

Never liked this dude. Bad vibes coming from him (childish/prickish). that ZOTAC and Russian LAN bs just made me dislike him even more

There's no such thing as bad publicity (look at Kanye West), and being a dick is a fast way to become popular on the internet, so from a business standpoint it was probably a smart decision doing what he did. Sure, he might be banned from participating in future tournaments and locked out of its winnings, but he's made many more times that from his fans alone so it was overall a net gain.

It also appears that he did it for "career advancement", and it worked out for him. Dat pornhub video xD On September 26 2019 20:45 SuGo wrote: "It was a 10k showmatch so I was trying pretty hard." -Larva as he is playing with his foot (~2:20 in video) LOL Exactly what I was thinking hahaha

If I ever start finding unbecoming manners appealing and not the BW gameplay itself, I will surely know the time has come for me to quit the game altogether.

There were two camps that formed after it, those who saw it as offensive/unprofessional and those who found it hilarious. And the best thing about the whole thing is that they were both right. Though hearing the Larva's perspective now, it's obvious he didn't mean any offense by it, so it's even easier to just laugh about it.

You should not pin your opinion of him on that one indicent. He has shown great humor, in the sense of not taking himself too seriously, innumerable times. To me he almost seems to be void of any vanity. If you think he's a bad person or too freakish to be tolerated, compare him to Terror first...

I remember the first time I saw this video, I sent it to many friends who do not play Starcraft, and all were like damn that's insane, and then asked me a bunch of question on the game he was playing, so I guess that brought marginal attention to an old game. That's awesome. Way to go Larva. People love complaining I guess.

Glad he's still laughing about it. I still am. People need to loosen up. If the dude can beat you with his feet, so be it.

I’ll occasionally showboat vs a friend of equal skill and play left handed, although this frequently backfires. Generally more as a handicap against someone considerably worse than me, I did need to practice a fair bit to not be utterly terrible southpaw. I think the funniest aspect is that he’s fucking around while his face is still super serious and intense looking.

If you're a pro at what you do and you're one level (or more rather) above your opponents then it should be easy to find some downtime to fool around, especially if you're already ahead. Foot control doesn't even seem that incredible in this case because the mousehand gives you a lot of flexibility - he seems to have one lissome toe though which he used to press a specific key. The left-handed play - or rather play with interchanged hands, or something - seems more impressive tbh, quite the on-the-fly coordination skills needed if he didn't practice this.

But for 2 years I've been looking for the zotac broadcast vods... I have been unsuccessful, mainly to try and make a tribute video for incontrol and the community from the amazing and laughter filled event. If anyone has it, please contact me. It would be god send. Thank you everyone.

Nowadays playing with your feet is considered the most bm thing you can do. I love Larva, BW needs more people like him.

Sc2 was so fun to follow and hilarious with all the Deezer/CombatEX/Destiny/Incontrol drama that existed at the beginning of WoL. Those were the fun days where you WANTED to tune in to a stream and see what kind of drama would happen and all the shit talk and grudge matches that were playing out. Yeah, was it like a soap opera? Sure. But there was personality in the game that made it enjoyable to follow. Now, we need these titans of the game to carry viewership like Serral having to have an unbelievable breakout year and first foreigner to challenge Koreans for people to want to follow. Numbers went back down again this year.

So while the event got more recognition thanks to Larva's behaviour, we cannot be certain of its drawbacks.

So while the event got more recognition thanks to Larva's behaviour, we cannot be certain of its drawbacks. True. The while thing a had a backstory too. As far as i understood it, the chinese [players and fans] were overconfident/boasting before the event. And Larva is certainly troll enough to really rub it in [that the skill gap is a lot greater than the chinese community would like it to be]. On the other hand, it's a bit weird to be upset about it. I inagine every good foreigner and chinese gosu is actually aware that a progamer like larva can troll you like this? Ofc its not exactly good sportsmanship to display it like this. Then again its not a sound idea to invite larva and expect anythubg but onesided matches. If every viewer who understands the game a bit can see how onesided the matches are, then where is the bug difference in makin it visible?

It is hard for me to stomach that people would be drawn to a video game, because of fucking Destiny out of all people streaming it, but to each their own I guess.
