There are many who wish to fight for the pride of their nation. To hone their skills in order to hit their chests and say; "Our country is the strongest!" In the landscape of SC:R there are some nations that truly excell - in particular South-Korea. In essence, it's not truly the battle of the strongest nation. It's the battle of the strongest foreign nation.
National Teams have historically been an integral part of the BroodWar community. A mark of quality and skill. An indication of a nations talent and dedication to the game. To rekindle this desire to excell, the nations are yet again forming. BSL and the Corrupted Cup has both put regional nations up against one another. But this is a matter of strict nation to nation team.
Two such nations: the mighty United States of America, and their explorer vikings of Norway, have started their war. And it is the first of many!
The matches are currently being played throughout the next days, or week, after which none other than Nyoken will be streaming the replays during a weekend after a BSL broadcast. We'll update more closely as we know the certain date!
The line ups between the nations are as follows:
USA vs Norway
Seriosity vs Eriador Ty2 vs MadiNho Jaeyun vs Doco SuGo vs MwK Tim vs ErlinG
In total 5 matches, each match a best of 3 playing on Sylphid at first, after which loser can choose from the BWCL, and BSL mappool. Results will not be updated here, in order to ensure a spoiler free stream.
And as the battle rages, we challenge all nations to rise against us! We shall surely challenge you and hope that when the time come, you've prepared a team willing to fight for their nation's pride!
May the strongest nation prevail!

Why are over half of Norway's top players unknown?
|
We should try to do more of these and try to bring back a real Nation War type league.
This is a good start to that. Good luck.

The games are currently being played throughout the next days. I don't know if there's an exact date for the stream yet, though.

Sounds like fun if someone did that, yeah! No pressure felt, I'm just redirecting the finger towards more skilled individuals to tag along, assuming Nyoken even wants the company
Grast and AgGe: Fighting! Looking forward to facing both of you!

Fun games today. Nice to see old players that I recognize even from WGTour days.
Thanks to Incomplete[Rev] for setting this all up and looking forward to future nation wars!
Edit: This is my first time hosting anything as I always just co-cast with someone so hopefully it wasn't too bad. Observing is pretty difficult. I know at some points I was clicking around way too much but I tried to slow down when I realized it.

Given you've never done anything like it before I think you did a great job, but I will say from a viewer perspective having the current score somewhere in the game screen makes it a lot easier to follow along!

Yes I wanted to put up the score then I forgot, and after I got everything setup there were so many OBS scenes I didn't want to mess anything up so I just decided to go forward and fix it next time.
I also rewatched parts of the VOD and saw that it lagged at some points. IDK why that is because I've never had ppl mention that to me while streaming so maybe some of my settings, like bitrate, got messed up after I reinstalled windows.

in my opinion as spectator nation wars are the best

I love these events and look forward to watching the VOD. Just wish there could be a 2v2 game thrown in there as well!
