Because the guy from the winner's finals is now put into the loser's bracket.
Don't pull another ZOTAC and fraud out the guy from the winner's bracket T_T
Or you can give them a map lead going into the series. However, not all tournaments are structured this way. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Double-elimination_tournamentThe rationale is that everyone gets 2 chances, you have to lose twice to be eliminated, hence the name "double elimination" It's not called "double elimination except for the guy coming from the winner's bracket" In the same link you posted you can scroll down to "Variations" and see all of the different approaches to double elimination brackets, including ones that don't have two potential series for the winner's finalist, including the one I mentioned. Perhaps you should read the links you provide.
Yes, and all those variations have names. This tournament is double elimination with no other names/titles attached.

It literally even says on the OP of this whole thread. You didn't even need to go to the bracket or try to dig info up on it. It was very clearly laid out from the start. You should read it more thoroughly.
Format: Double Elimination Winners' Bracket Bo3 Losers' Bracket Bo1 (Losers' Final Bo3) Grand Finals: Bo5, Winner' Bracket +1 score advantage

Hey that looks like it has been a fantastic event and a lot of fun. Except....... I didn't watch it live. Any idea where any glimpses of any games can be found? (the above-mentioned links for Twitch are a dead-end.) Many thanks!!
