I think about round 16:
Game 1 Day 1: Grp A, B, C, D Day 2: Grp A, B, C, D Day 3: Grp A, B Day 4: Grp C, D
Game 2, winners' and losers' match are the same Game 1 We need 12 days more.
Final Last day.
Total: 17 days for Round 16, it is exactly 2 months, every weeks has 2 days to compete.
|
Or Game 1 Day 1: Grp A, B (every group will play 2 sets) Day 2: Grp C, D (every group will play 2 sets) Day 3: Grp A, B (every group will play from 1 to 3 sets) Day 4: Grp C, D (every group will play from 1 to 3 sets) ...

6/28,6/29, Dewalt wins online qualifiers. 6/30 Fly to Seoul 7/1 offline qualifier
That’s the plan.

Do you get a paid trip to seoul if you winn online quals?
|
i kinda have a feeling this will end ASL, even though they mentioned co-existence.

That's awesome news

This is amazing. The online qualifier is filled with famous players. What an honor it will be to play in the same tourney! ^_^

So most korean pros won’t attend online qualifiers, good opportunity for amateurs.

Twitch has 3rd party exclusivity rights to all of Blizzard's tournaments until 2019.

So if a foreign player qualifies via the online tournament they have 1-3 days to fly to the offline event?
Foreigners can use the online qualis as a practice tool but realistically that's all it is to us, oh well i guess it's better than nothing.

if any of the top foreigners were actually serious in participating, i'm sure blizzard would waiver those who fly to korea straight into the offline portion of the qualifier.
edit: i wonder why they decided on such a random figure of 24,000,000 KRW total prize pool as the measure for whether you can get a seed into the offline qualifiers. the largest foreigner tournament so far in the past 5 years was the zotac masters, and that was 20k USD (so 22m krw'ish)

file this one under shit I never saw coming
