When I get angry I just go and create a lobby. I don't see how the lack of player base would explain why though. Statistically, it should be almost impossible for almost every player in the queues to have a higher rating with such consistency. Here you can see my rating since the 18th has been below 1300: ![]() And all but two of the game ratings (the average mmr of the 2 players) is higher, in several cases quite significantly: ![]() ![]()

Your rating more or less falls below the average of where you start, so you're pretty much going to hit those players consistently. Unless they enforce a single account limit there isn't going to be a solution.

If the that's the case, there should be other players that have dropped to my points bracket for the same reason, and I should eventually get paired against them, or at the very least, occasionally get matched against lower rated players (<1200), but this doesn't happen.

For comparison, ICCUP for example has a +100/-50 if on the same level, while SCR is pretty much +25 /-25, so a few cheeses or matched against an actual more skilled player = your MMR falls through the roof. I do think Blizzard should look into these numbers, from what I saw it's demotivating a lot of players since they don't see any progress, and at the same time throws some accounts like yours below what they should be.

I've played a few really hard, technical games over the years (CS 1.6, Brood War, Smash Bros Melee). There's always going to be someone better than you. If you make the game about beating your opponent, you're going to get frustrated, burned out, and you're going to quit. This is especially true because this game is so old: lots of people have played for years, you aren't going to be better than them in a few months. Instead, make your goals around self-improvement. Find an area of your game where you want to improve at, and zero-in on it. Really focus, even if other parts of your game fall apart, until you've got that thing down. Example: You notice you are not consistently producing workers. Goal: Focus hard on that while you are playing, even to the detriment to other parts of your game (scouting, build order timings, whatever). You play a game. You get crushed. You're smiling. Why? Because you watched the replay, and you really nailed it. You've been doing this for 5-10 games now, and it's almost second nature. Your building workers, they're nicely synced up at your main and natural, your economy was great. Cool! Once this is truly self-conscious and you don't mess it up anymore, find another thing to work on. Not only will you not get discouraged, but psychologically this is a much faster way of improving at a game anyway. Before you know it, the winning will just come as a side effect. EDIT: My specific example applies better to T and P, I didn't see you were Z, but take it as a for-instance. Your goals will be different, but the same idea applies.
