Also, I think we should get used to this. Blizzard doesn't have a ton of StarCraft esports people left. Blizzcon being the biggest concern for Blizzard makes sense. But having the guy in charge of a tournament not being able to be in charge of the tournament doesn't. They should have delegated the task to someone who didn't need to be at Blizzcon. Kinda my point, there's not that many people left to even do that. But this is all besides the point: It seems more likely that someone made a bad call and blamed it on a Blizzard rep who wasn't even engaged at the time, thus it seems like someone is covering their ass. I don't think that's besides the point at all - if someone from Blizzard was there, or at least was on call, then no one would have had to cover their ass in the first place. If Blizzard is running KSL, they need to delegate at least one person to be available to answer questions and concerns.

Eh, I guess I see it as besides the point because that's probably going to be life now. We have to enjoy KSL knowing blizz doesn't have that many people left to be "up all the time".

if blizzard cant get enough staff to run the tournament they shouldnt be running the tournament. simple as that tbh

So you want no KSL instead of KSL like this? :|

its not about what the fans want. if youre a tournament organiser but you cant actually run your tournament, youre nothing but incompetent. keep in mind that it was blizzards choice to make the tournament on twitch and manage it themselves at the tradeoff of not allowing others to do it instead.

I like how mostly everything is negative on these forums. Blizzard sponsored a really cool tournament so we could all watch it and you guys are sitting around criticizing them because 1 player had to play on a computer monitor 2 inches bigger than he was used to...

This is just poor craftmanship from the organizers.

Might not make a difference for a player of your caliber but it certainly affects others. Think about how Flash used a ruler to make sure all of his set-up was in alignment.
Trying to minimize the issue because you like the tournament as a spectator is basically being callous to the actual people who play the game and would have played the game with or without Blizzard's involvement or the tournament setting. Why are you more inclined to let Blizzard/KSL staff lie to and ignore the complaints of players than you are to make the players that provide us these games over decades happy?

It's 4 inches difference. If you've been constantly playing this game more than 10+ years you will know what that means: Stork couldn't even split his probes, isn't that enough for you to understand how important that is??? They arrived there not to watch some disney movie on 27 inch but for a tournament. Imagine you're an athlete f.e. powerlifter, you train for 200 pounds but when you arrive they say "Oh sorry, we don't have 200 pounds weight, how about you try 250 pounds?". Pros allowed to use their own keyboard and mouse, why they can't choose which monitor they want? The rules of tournament are stupid as hell.

That's not what happened. They didn't not allow others just because of KSL, KSL came after they introduced the fees as Blizzard wanted to host a tournament for the fans of the game they know there's a lot of love for.

What kind of argument is that? I don't follow...

It's not an argument, I'm just saying his order of events is messed up.

can't judge Stork's situation with 27" monitor without being in his shoes. different people are different... eg. some people find windchimes soothing. me, I see some in a store and think about various tortures that'd be fitting toward whoever invented them.

Anyone know anything about ASL9 yet?
