If it only begins to apply in Nov 2020 doesn't that mean that anyone who entered before Nov 2018 will leave first? yeah but there will be guys who go between jan 2019 and oct 2020 who get screwed over lol. its not like the military is just gonna stop drafting between that period.
as for postponing service, im not am expert because im not nationalised and therefore never had to care much, but as far as i know you need a legitimate reason to not go. the reasons can be fairly simple though, starting from study to being a sole carer, injury/disability, being overseas for some reason etc. some guys get unlucky in that there just isnt a good enough reason not to go in their exact situation, and most people dont bother postponing too long because if you have to go anyway you may as well get it over and done with while youre younger

Also given how so many progamers got to extend their service, isn't the story that their career is potentially time-sensitive so they need to make as much money as possible for their family before they go to military? Like, Bisu could make thousands of dollars a month because of the state of the Afreeca BW scene and from tournament winnings, but if he leaves for 2 years he may come back to a dead market for his product.

Is it only me or as of today it is impossible to watch VODs on Afreeca if you aren't on their geoblock whitelist?
I was watching VODs yesterday just fine and by today I'm getting an error msg pop-up and a redir to the home page.

Looks like some goofy contractual obligation thing to prevent re-streaming.

He is streaming right now, dunno if this indicates that he is still playing, but he is not entirely retired

Hopefully its fully offline but I doubt it, I'd expect Shinhan to want to test the waters first and then invest enough for a full offline pl later on.
