Depending on your contract you get paid out 50-70% of that. Korean income tax (if you earn more than 80 000 000 won / year , which these guys apoparently do) is capped at 35%. So even at worst rate you are still lookingt at 12k $ /11k € / month | ||

I don't see any SC2 pro making even close to 3k streaming what tyson earns. | ||

And as long as they present wrong facts about the BW and SC2 scene, it will deter people away from BW. They are that desperate, to undermine a 19 year old game at any point possible in order to promote their dying game. | ||

If yes then you're probably deterring more people from BW than all the SC2 fans on that sub. You're making BW fans look like assholes  | ||

Hiya played game very well, rate win than 90% in normal games and his rank channel ladder is about 20. Rarely, He received little balloons, he was so happy and turn on music, said thank you so much,... Hiya has everything necessary to get balloons as others gosu but why not? | ||

Well as sad as it is a lot of these donations come from earlier fans who now have grown up and can donate. If you look at the list you see that most players getting big donations are either pretty famous for their BW (tbls, 6 dragons, Sea for example) or are famous for being notoriously entertaining (TerrOr, Britney, Larva for example, with TerrOr and Britney not even beeing pure BW streamers). While Hiya is known for a long time, he doesn't really fit into these categories. It's hard to gain balloons if you don't already have an existing fanbase. And if you gain new fans, they often times are too young to donate. | ||

Thats a LOT, flash is indeed raining money. This is balloons only, and i read that Partnered BJs get tons of bonuses including shared AfreecaTV ad revenue, his own channel ad as afreeca banner, and 4k streaming. The above post about taxes are correct for full-time employees hired by registered organizations, where tax is heavily applied upon high revenue. Afreeca streaming actually doesnt count as one iirc. | ||
