He spawned bottom left and Shuttle spawned bottom right. Somehow, JD maneuvered his overlords up, then right, then down in between the main and Rain's 6 O'clock base all while doing scourge maneuvers to lure Shuttle and mislead him on his true intentions. That was probably his least impressive play though.

The most amazing was JD's incredible foresight when he attacked Shuttle's just building fourth base at the 3 O'clock. He had made a muta switch and was shutting down cannons, while moving devourers in between Rain's main and fourth to distance the corsairs. In the meantime he loaded four hydras during this and I was thinking that it's so obvious Shuttle is going to just attack JD's main so I had no idea what JD was thinking.

Then the genius in the making unfolds. JD, completely predicting Shuttle's counterattack burrows his drones at all 3 bases in quick succession as the reavers unload. By some miracle the defending mutalisks and unburrowed Hydras manage to fend off the reaver force. And to up the ante during this chaos, JD moved his mutalisk and devourer force precariously between Shuttle's 3rd and main down to the bottom of the map to completely intercept Shuttle's retreating corsairs. The ensnare + Devourer acid spore stack with mutalisks completely destroys Shuttle's corsairs. And as for the four hydras loaded up, they were unloaded at Shuttle's fourth where JD's mutalisks and devourers were earlier, shutting down the base. Absolute perfection.

What an incredible game. JD from the very beginning of attacking Shuttle's fourth saw so far into the future to devise the moves he made, starting from the questionable loading of the four hydras. The setup, the burrow of the drones, surprise unburrow of the hydras, the repositioning of the queen/mutalisk/devourer flock, delaying the fourth base cannons enough, and the load/unload of the four hydras to seal the deal. That's not to mention JD's miracle 3 overlord hydra drop that gave him time to expand to the top left main which he droned up during all of this. It was such an absolutely dominating play by JD that I had to share.
