if you block all sides of the hatchery, larva wont spawn. on this location, the top mineral drones return minerals to the top side of the hatch, thats how he could block all sides without gas. they spawned later on because the 2nd hatch at bottom finished and redirected some mining drones to it, so there was more likely space to the left + bottom left of the 1st hatch when larva was spawning. | ||

It does as we start to approach the point of having technology that can translate for us in real time. Products like these are in their infancy in 2018 (but starting to exist), but give it a couple more years and it should be pretty decent tech. | ||
