OFC WHEN HE HAS TO AGREE WITH EVIL GENIUS and wait out until november. that subreddit is overwhelmingly sc2 favored its disgusting. I mean it makes sense. That subreddit became popular thanks to starcraft 2. It would make total sense as to why it's mainly sc2 content. There is a subreddit for just bw as well, but again not as popular. Probably because most BW players use teamliquid and not reddit. Why it disgusts you I have no idea, but that is why it's sc2 favored. Well, for me what disgusts me is the retards who downvote any BW content. I posted on reddit the top 5 of July and the top 10 earnings of BW and got downvoted. Never made it out of fresh section. Anyway, lets not get this thread wasted on things like reddit and focus on the main topic.
I don't even get why people would use a website like reddit for anything. The design is actually pretty counterproductive to freedom of speech and getting a good idea of what the majority and minorities are thinking. It's also filled with too many people, so discussions there aren't possible at all, which is difficult in the first place because of the design of the threads.

I heard July back in the days would just spam 30-40 games a day and I thought that is what all progamers do to some extent Jaedong's worth ethic is something that everybody has praised, and is in my opinion, unparalleled in its longevity and intensity. July was an exceptional work horse during his peak, but due to various circumstances could not withstand the test of time. Also, there were numerous great players such as NaDa and sAviOr, who did not practice all that much, I mean, here's what Flash had to say about the great NaDa. "In terms of gaming capabilities, the greatest genius of them all. That would be an apt summary. Remember that I was there besides him. I nearly quit gaming out of despair. He would play Sudden Attack all day, but still would go to all these finals. He didn't practice that much while I was there. But he would still win, it was simply mind boggling. The most mind boggling thing was how he would play games with me, then make my builds into his own. After just seeing it once! And it would feel like he would use them better than me. These builds that I spent all that time perfecting." There are also numerous tales of NaDa just playing a couple of off-race games before huge finals and leaving it at that, and listening to music during tournament games. However, with Jaedong, it's not just the sheer number of games that is astounding, it's the intensity with which he approached these practice games. He would record the results of every single practice sessions, and get mad as hell with even the smallest mistakes he might make. I remember Tyson saying that Jaedong would curse and rage every time he missed a dropship appearing on the mini-map during practice. That's just crazy, if true. I've always had the most respect for Nada simply because he won starleagues in such vastly different eras of BW. I don't believe it completely though. I'm sure NaDa massed as much as the others, there would be a sort of meta advantage if other people thought he didn't. If it demoralized Flash, it would demoralize anyone. Didn't Savi0r practice like 19 hours a day or something crazy for a while? sAviOr's another one that is famous for not practicing that much. Remember CYON MSL when he wiped the floor with iloveoov three to zero? He was supposed to have just played three games in preparation. Maybe there was a time when sAviOr practiced 19 hours a day for a match, but I doubt it. There are tons of players who didn't practice a lot, Sea is also another one. Alas, hard work does beat talent given enough time. Bisu said Sea was a lot better than him initially, but only practiced a couple of games a day, and spent the rest of the day gossiping and watching television, but didn't get scolded by the higher ups because he produced good results. This imagery of all top level gamers being practice machines who grind out games all day is a false myth. There are plenty of gamers who slacked off and relied on their talent. I still remember the time that Genius (sc2) played more fifa than sc2 when he won his gsl title.
Also what were in those skype chats with jiko from flash that made them think it was jd?

That Shine 21 games series was pretty good.
No way that isn't JD, those late game engagements look a bit too clean for some random unknown dude.

God shinee is extremely obnoxious while playing the most obnoxious ZvT style I've seen. On top he basically sucks in any other matchup ....
edit: holy JDs engage at 34:24 first video

ehh i mean he does hit top 1~5 ranks on fish server with ridiculous records like 110-30 lol. He is also 2-2 vs hero in sponsored match up. I'd say he is legit. He also is 3-1 vs flash on ladder lol

After watching these games I am 100% sure it's Jaedong.. Jiko just resembles JD in so many ways, from early game drone micro, through ling aggresion and muta micro and with this scary late game engagements and macro.. I've been following roughly all Jaedong games back in the days and feel very confident it's him. Welcome back Tyrant.

genius never won a gsl. the closest was when he made the final vs drg and lost.
