Very helpful, thanks. To clarify, the two new maps are to be added later in the tournament, not for the initial group round? Or is PianO not explicit about the timing, just that at some point, they'll be added?

Remeber FS, CB, BS was used in the qualifiers? One of those maps will be omitted and 2 new maps will be added to the ro16. Piano thinks Blue Storm will get omitted since it's rare to see two two-player maps in one tournament.
The finalized versions of the maps are not out yet. That is why no one is practicing the new maps. They simply don't have the maps.

Awesome, thanks for the info! Does anyone have download links to the new maps? I'd love to test the most current versions so I'm ready to cast them. Also, if anyone has vods of pros playing the new maps please link them!

Both new maps have their own respective threads here on TL, just look for them. The current versions are just gruesomely badly made... So I'd wait for "final versions" to come out. There is a chance they are better (they certainly have been provided with all the info they need to fix the issues). Hope die last, I guess...

Thanks. I wasn't sure if those threads have been updated/would have the latest versions. I understand waiting for the final version, but I want to be familiar at least with the basic feel of the map.

With two new maps in the Ro16, advancing could well be even tougher. Who knows what inherent imbalances will be present, and if a player is unlucky with the draw of opponents and maps, he could get eliminated really quickly in those Bo1 matches :/

I think Tastosis casting this is great. Not that i don't appreciate all the work the 'tl catsers' did here, but at the end of the day tastosis are professional casters who are better at it (maybe not knowledge wise, not sure about that).
It's also good for the potential sc2 audience. Looking forward to it!

We are still paid casters for this. And I do like to consider myself a professional SC1 caster. I have been an official/paid/sponsor endorsed English caster for the past four major tournaments over the past two years.

You know what i mean (hopefully). Tastosis literally have no other job than casting games, that's not the case for you. You have other stuff to do which means less time to actually work on casting, etc
Pls don't take this the wrong way, i am absolutely happy that you guys did what you did (and still do!), but i am also happy that tastosis are casting this on the gsl stream because i am sure that their involvement speaks to a broader audience for various reasons.

late reaction from me - so why did bisu withdraw from this??? i was hoping to see flash vs bisu in the finals.
i thought he likes participating in kongdoo or terror's leagues. that's sad  but will watch and cheer for flash.
