All he needed was a little bit of time to adjust to the interface, get used to some of the new builds, and pretty much ready to rock and roll. It's probably much like being say a pole vaulter or shot putter that took a few years off but still kept their physical training and gym work at elite level. They would need a little bit of time to refresh on technique and some specific athleticism, but the skills are still there and obviously the body still in great shape. In the same way FlaSh's ability to think and make decisions is undoubtedly as good as ever, and it's not like he was even out of shape with basic hotkey and mouse precision as he as still been playing PC games professionally. I don't even think there has been any new builds or strategies in tvz/tvp from both sides since Flash first started to play sc2. I can't really comment on tvt since I don't watch it. Also maps haven't really changed either so I think that also played a role in how fast Flash is getting back to his old skill level.

I haven't followed the post-kespa scene much at all, but is it possible that the overall level of play has fallen off a bit, making it easier for Flash to get back on top?

Now he comes back back and owns them. I know Flash is a monster, but anyway it seems quite strange. Believe it or not but it doesn't take you long to get your skills back, especially when you played the game for so many years. Not playing for a couple years, yeah you'll be rusty, but a couple weeks and it all starts coming back.

I'm so deep in BW I can't go back to SC2 cause I have horrible habits like manually moving workers to mineral lines and putting different units on different hotkeys, setting up camera hotkeys for buildings, even caught myself clicking individual buildings

He always has the exact amount of number of units in the right places to defend at the right times. He's not even at full power and his game there looked like his old self playing vs FanTaSy in Proleague/the Bacchus Starleague of 2010. Other players really have to pick it up if they want to stand a full on chance against Flash with full power. I'm not sure if the quality has dropped due to lack of competition, but Flash's vT there made any other TvT I've seen over the past year look insignificant o_O

Also remember the joke about Eonzerg answering "not your business" to welcome4? I saw his name in ladder channel while Flash was streaming, so Eon is really lucky ^^. Seconded, it's also hard to scroll the whole thread searching for vod links without getting spoiled ^^! Thanks in advance.

Mirror matchups may have dropped alot in quality. Can't say it for nonmirror though

He didnt stop progaming after all even though he transit to SC2 . ![]() Some decision making . . . etc . . . at the highest level sometimes it is decision making keke . . ![]() Although, some will say Flash SC2 decision is not good cause him alot of games .

I'm just rewatching his games against Free from tuesday and I think he's commenting on his scouting (he turns away really fast after seeing 1-2 things) or makes short comments after the game. Maybe he's stating obvious stuff and just trying to actually talk to his viewers more - I'm 100% fine with him being as laconic as he is for now apart from game-commenting - but maybe he's also giving Flash-insights. Thanks in advance edit: on second thought, it would be a great feat to do this as much as possible for all of the comments that these progamers give in hundreds and hundreds of hours (but especially for Flash ^^), somebody must be watching...

If you're zerg then knowing how to properly time the drones, respond to tiniest changes( make few more drones/less) will guarantee a win."

Thx, even if this is a more general comment, it has a special ring to it coming from Flash himself ^^. To me at least it's worthwile reading how exactly a progame points something like that out, what he puts the stress on. Like: Flash is not just saying "macro is important"... And watching his play this is exactly the feeling that you get: superb macro, but with a certain drive to hit timings that I don't see in this form for other Ts. The games vs free very relatively little scouting, presumably perfect read on his opponent, then a little vulture-harrass-setup, flawless macro and defense for a few minutes and BANG, timing hits like a thunderstrike.
