Probably just preference. When you use F-keys for area hotkeys on widescreen the CC will not be centered if the base is close the edge of a map. You gotta remember that these progamers have been playing the game a certain way for more than a decade. At the same time, you can see that a good amount of progamers actually prefer playing in HD mode. And some players like Scan for example will sometimes switch from HD to SD if Dark Swarms come into effect since it is harder for them to tell what units are under the cloud. There are other cases like this, but I think it all comes down to preference. And keep in mind that Flash is that guy who uses a ruler to measure the distance between his mouse/keyboard etc. Think of that metaphorical ruler while he plays the game.

He has said he uses Pillarbox mode so he doesn't have to relearn muscle memory for side scrolling.

Ladder doesn't have tournament maps (minus FS). It's also better practice to play a lot of practice games versus other pro's than laddering, especially since ladder is 8 turn rate and not 12/16. They need to practice on 12/16 turn rate as it's closest to lan latency that they will experience playing ASL + other events.

Well he is ranked 7 so he is probably still playing a bit here and there. But as blade said, he has to practice on asl maps and since blizz put in a questionable map pool instead of copying the asl pool, he has no choice but to play customs. Plus real preparation for a tournament can only come from practising with a dedicated group of people. Ladder is better for general skill growth.

Flash typically uses 1-3 for units, 4-8 for production, and 9 and 0 for scan in early game. Late game everything is unit or scan.

Holy shit that Game against Larva was intense. I thought for sure he was fucked when his natural fell and he lost both Vessels. Amazing come back in that game. I hope he uploads it to his Youtube channel.

i'd like to add to what others said there is a notable difference when dragging your mouse to the edge of the screen to scroll your view. it feels vastly different between HD and SD (imagine extra few millimeters of mouse drag in HD). i personally moved back to SD for this sole reason.

Super crazy today. Got like 7k-8k balloons last 10minutes.. 1 Balloon like 0.07$.

edit2: He got now more than 30k balloons haha

Flash needs "motar2k" who donates like 30k+ to CSGO players cause why not :D

Yeah... There's always something about Effort's play that Flash has never solved. He frequently manages to get in between Flash's robotic builds and disrupts it so bad. Seriously hoping for both of them to meet in the ASL finals.
