unfortunately because it was in china and not under the jurisdiction of kespa it was quickly swept under the rug by everyone in korea.

This is interesting because this set occurred before the match-fixing scandal came to light. (Hwasin being a player that was implicated and confessed/aplogized)

Leads me to believe that Hwasin and Calm got some of the profits from some 3rd party gambling organization placing large bets on the outcome.

If true, this was a totally safe way to go about it, a large tournament that lots of people would watch and bet on, but not officially recognized by kespa, thus safe from repercussions. Perhaps after getting away with this, Calm stays away from the match-fixing scene altogether.

I don't think it was related with any 3rd party gambling sites. The tournament wasn't a korean tournament so the majority of people in korea wouldn't care about it. I'm pretty sure the tournament wasn't on any betting sites and even if it was I don't really see anyone betting on the games either. I think it was just a collaboration between Hwasin and Calm to split the prize money together.

At least don't accuse someone of matchfixing without any concrete proof. Stuff like this becomes toxic to the scene quickly.

No wonder my feed got cut.

There's a way around iirc but I'm not going to bother knowing it.

You need a Korean social security number to make an account on afreeca.tv ? Lol.

If not, you can always give a VPN a try.
