Watching his stream now. Showing nice style and good control. He seems surprised at the redundancy of ZeLoT's opening build.

Lets say that I did not draft him in FPL for his ability to play TvP

Holding on to older, lesser versions instead of helping to grow the newer, frequently updated version's playerbase/community, doesn't sound like good news to me. If broodwar was declared dead by blizzard, removing servers etc., the Sc2 community would likely find an explosive growth. We're already lacking behind on LoL, cs:go, dota2, HS etc.

We're already lacking behind on LoL, cs:go, dota2, HS etc. eh no they'd just move on from following esports or to those other games because they were already disinterested in SC2, you think people are being held back by BW or something? lets not forget that BW is pretty much played on private servers and that I know for a fact that blizzard isn't giving up its minimal-to-none support for the game anytime soon. also calling BW lesser is debatable, lesser in accessibility, yeah you're right, its pretty hard to get into it and actually start playing for new guys since there are a lot of hoops to go through, lesser in gameplay? No its not otherwise it wouldn't stand the test of time if the gameplay wasn't as good as it is.

No its not otherwise it wouldn't stand the test of time if the gameplay wasn't as good as it is. BW is lesser, in the sense that the game became obsolete, it no longer receives updates and the game itself is not at all appealing to the casual player. Casuals is where the main moneystream comes from (Look at LoL and other games). it's indepth gameplay might be superior but that's not what makes money and communities. Starcraft 2 is infinitely more accessible to casuals and new players than brood war, especially in 2015. I don't thnik BW players are 'uninterested' in SC2 per sé, I think that they prefer BW because of past experiences and they believe it's the better choice of the two. That doesn't necessarily mean that they dislike SC2, it just means they prefer BW more. or maybe they think making a switch to a new game, would be too much work and fatal for their careers (Look at flash for example, he never became the bonjwa he was in BW, he became a good player but not unbeatable, at all.)
