Hmm. Recording streams for one month should take approximately 250-300 GB of hdd space. Storing those files cost too much for VPS - 50$ per month. JieXian, at the moment my expenses for keeping server, domain, etc cost me about 50$ per year. | ||

From now recorded streams will be uploaded on youtube, instead of downloading files from server. Links to youtube will be available a few minutes after recorded stream (Breaking connection with Afrecca can cause creating very short videos). Link's unavailability means verification by YouTube Policy and takes to 30 minutes. You can watch streams on Korhal from last 10 days. I recommend you watch videos at Korhal because of chronology and clarity. | ||

Sent you a quick PM. I wonder if there's something wrong with  EffOrt's recordings? I checked out several others (Bisu, hero, ZerO, Mind) and their recordings are complete, but the YT VODs for EffOrt tend to be cut off and missing significant stretches. Like a 6 hour broadcast will archive as one 1 hour VOD, then several ~5-10 second ones... | ||

I don't mind the muted videos, the more automated and less work, the better  Not to mention setting "Unlisted" or "Private" for videos doesn't escape the copyright search -- I've gotten videos blocked without having even going public | ||

It would be great to see Shinee added to players list, he had some amazing sessions this month. I tried downloading them directly from afreeca but it's close to impossible. He's playing all kinds of builds and better overall than Hiya f.e. who is tracked at the moment. His TvP drop strats are best I've seen since Fantasy's best days. And just now he showed great example of defensive style in late macro game vs P which prevented toss from splitting him apart with recalls and multiple direction attacks. All this goodness is not saved and he streams at bad time (EU early mornings). Thx in advance! | ||

Or a incognito twitch channel to go along with it, with nobody but the insiders knowing that it's mainly about the newschool broodwar scene, to avoid the moderator wrath. The way this would work is we need people who are good at broodwar to play out the exact same build that the progamers played .. and then someone casts the actual progamer vod and then puts the audio on top of the reenacted game, to make hype for the progamer game. And then someone in the chat lures interested peeps to the korhal main page where we chill. | ||

I love Hiya but he's for fun player now, I guess playing 2 hours before work or something. His skill suffered as a result. Shinee does the same things ("noob" smashing with unusual build like wraitsh TvZ) but plays much more, plays better and he also plays against tougher opposition. Combination of volume and quality makes him a better choice atm. | ||

He actually plays quite often and just look at the viewers numbers when he's online... And when he plays, it's much more games than other pro-gamers (50% BGH, UMS, offrace etc.) | ||

So i decided to choose random address ip, set it on one week, and check vidoes. When lags will disappear from records, I will leave this address ip permanently. Otherwise i will set other random address ip and i will repeat all steps. Please write me, if videos will be ok. A that momemnt I am setting 1.255.48.17 | ||

And then just sharing the links / embedding as necessary. I might be wrong in my ignorant assumption, but maybe if they're not public videos they don't go through the same content ID checks. | ||

Hey do you think you could upgrade the quality max from 720pHD to 1080pHD? If it's not to much to ask. At the momemnt I can't, because I have many problems witch record streams from Afreeca. However, I doubt unlisting would help, it's not like the previous listed vids were easy to search (they had random title's like YYYYMMDDHHMM_<player abbreviation> and it still got reported If it's unlisted one still has to just check the korhal website or this thread to find the embedded videos. Yes, infrastructure is still working, the only problem is where storage videos. To storage records, I can use only yt for two reasons: 1) unlimited acccount, daily upload ~ 130 GB 2) good api because, Korhal works 100% automatically. | ||

Now if Afreeca is demandning some kind of economic compensation for this, then I get why it's not an alternative. But Afreecas viewerbase is mostly korean (correct me if I'm wrong on this) and they need all the advertising they can get to foreign viewers. Maybe it is possible to negotiate a deal which includes some type of advertising space for afreeca on the site, while being able to relay these videos on the site for english viewers for free? Is it possible to IP-block certain regions (i.e. because Afreeca might make the argument that this can potentially steal customers from Korea). EDIT: Also, does afreeca store vods like Twitch? In that case you might be able to work out a deal where you are free to categorize and link these vods, the same way you did with your YT channel. Just throwing out ideas. Really sad to see Korhal.pl go. Was a great tool. | ||

Unfortunately, there were again problems with Afreeca. Videos recording is very often picked up, which generates a large number of short files. Another problem is that youtube has a limit of videos per day. When limit is exceeded, Korhal ca't send any movies and must wait until 00:00 Pacific Time (PT) when the limit will be reset. | ||

I have struggled with cutting records for few weeks. The reason of cutting records was Afreeca and ... supplier of VPS. Today they confessed and managed to repair that problem. Now it should be ok. I switched Rush for Light. | ||

I've got an email from from the guys who I bought a VPS, they are complaining about my usage rates. They've hit me with a 40 % upload transfer limit cut. Naturally, I could argue with them, as it was "no-limit" deal, but knowing life, they will just terminate the contract. Because of this, I will have to switch off few streams, so the server could cope with downloading streams, and uploading the onto YT without any breaks and cuts in broadcasts :/ As I was saying before, I was expecting this. Example statistics from past 14 days: 14:50:59 up 14 days, 14:21, 1 user, load average: 0.59, 0.71, 0.81 RX bytes:3647178053051 (3.3 TiB) TX bytes:3675161797239 (3.3 TiB) At the present moment we have 16 players, we need to go down to 8. It's time to tell about Korhal project future. For some reasons, which I don't want to explain now, I am forced to move project to new server or to publish sources for people who want to run this project on his own. In case of first option I propose quick fundraising - all collected money would be spent on servers costs. Higher amount of money - longer subscription. The amount above required server fee would be spent on BSL4 tournament awards  Bombastic StarLeague 4/Swiss tournamentIf money weren't collected I would publish korhal.info.pl sources. | ||

sure_kg if you will have any problems, contact me, i will help you.My vps had 25 GB storage, so 15 -20 GB is minimum. But storage is not a big problem, big problem is bandtwich because if you record like ten players, your upload/download level is like 50Gb per day... | ||
