Chances are that these games will probably be better than the GSL group of death for sure.
I'm sure that the live attendees for SSL will also be larger than GSL's as well.
Come on this is the SEMIFINAL for SSL, GSL is still in group stage, it can wait.

as if I didn't expect this response. thoughtless antagonism between fans and organizers of the two games hurts everyone. don't be a mindless zealot.
and I believe this is the first time this season that SSL and GSL have been on the same day. that could be coincidence, but I'd like to believe that it isn't.

I'm sure its just a coincidence? SSL is only on thursdays and saturdays due to player's schedules and sonic's schedule. Sonic also had these dates mapped out for a while now (since before SSL9 started so.. like december last year/early january) Also SSL8 final was on the same day as GSL finals i think? schedule conflicts happen but I don't really think korean organizers care about having non conflicting dates for these two events.

Don't worry. 2 macro games between Movie and hero will be longer than the Group of Death.

I find it funny that no matter what Kwanro does, no matter how many years go by where he consistently shows quality results, the overriding consensus is that its mystifying, because hes bad. Reminds me of Kwark constantly claiming Jangbi was a mediocre protoss, whos gameplan was nothing but gratuitous error followed by gratuitous error--- winning through an odd mixture of luck, and the stupidity of his opponents.
Oh well, Kwanro fighting!

And I'm the one being thoughtless, good sir?
Excuse me for pointing out the obvious here, but I believe I have the right to defend myself: what can be considered more "mindless zealotry", negativedge, than shoving an incomplete sequel down the throat of an established RTS scene, forcing young professional gamers against their will to abandon their passion and love for Brood War, while simultaneously de-legitimizing every strategic revolution (Bisu build, Fantasy build, etc.) in a 10 year golden age and killing the Golden Goose of RTS out of jealousy, ego, and an inferiority complex because the sequel simply couldn't live up to the standards of its predecessor?
I think I've made my point, negativedge, so I'll stop.

I would love to see Bisu lose too

dont agree at all with the top 10... the #1 game there I wouldn't even put in top 20 games. edit: Hero 3 - 1 Movie, Bisu 3 - 1 Kwanro, Bisu 4 - 2 Hero (if grand final is bo7)

Bisu's PvZ has looked pretty shaky - zerglings breaching the wall 4 times in a series is something that happens to amatuers, not the god of PvZ... I hope he fixes the mistakes he made vs Larva for his games vs Kwanro, because I do think there's a good chance that he will get cheesed out of the tournament if he isn't careful.

Please, don't be a zvz finals. We have two good PvZ players, let at least one advance.

Well that last game between Mini and Kwanro definitely dispelled some of that "flow chart" myth and proved that Kwanro has something to prove for himself and his fans, which is always great to hear from his winner's interview.

mindless zealotry it is, then.

Great article as usual guys!
Bisu'd better watch out; Larva almost took him down with those early zerglings, and if anyone masters this playstyle it's Kwanro.
Please Bisu don't Stork yourself and build a second cannon when necessary!

The problem is he doesn't know when that second cannon is necessary. Yes, he could keep the probe alive as long as speed is not done for lings, but after that he has to either block better with zealot/probes or build the second cannon and hope that zerg indeed produced more lings.

It doesn't matter as Bisu is vastly superior in any other aspect of the matchup. He just needs to play safe and not lose as Stork did vs Jaedong in Korean Air Season 2 semis. At least Stork needed to be greedy in order to increase his chances of beating JD so it was understandable. JD was also amazing at mind games.
Also he can always keep a probe outside of his base to scout again when the first probe dies. Still much cheaper than getting run by or losing tons of probes defending the natural.
