tossgirl I think is a tossup, probably 0-3 or 2-3 or something imo

Or best case scenario is we get to here some results, like what happened with Ssak and Jaystar. That's not bad, but that match easily could have had a nice LR thread with everyone watching live. Manpower is missing, no coverage, no reliable streams, that's what happens unfortunately.

But ofc your point is valid, there is not enough manpower/ information to do a good coverage on the chinese scene.

Yea, maybe it's just a lack of people that know Chinese and if you aren't skimming the sites daily you can miss stuff. Yea, I figure that is part of the issue. Maybe it's related, but it seems like often no one knows about it at all though, as someone always seems to say oh I would have put up a LR thread if I had known this was occurring. I personally didn't even realize the match had been scheduled (I think someone mentioned it once in the thread but it got swallowed up). I don't know situation with CN streams. Are they just laggy/inconsistent and/or not consolidated the way Sonic and to a lesser extent Afreeca in general is?

But imagine SOSPA without snipealot's streams, it wouldn't be nearly as huge to us. What's missing is someone regularly checking the chinese sites, making LR's, making events for the TL Calendar etc. None has done that like what ArvickHero, snipealot, and now I have done.

LR, Calendar Events, TLPD, Liquibets, write-ups could all come if there was a reliable and consistent way to watch Chinese events like we can watch SOSPA events thanks to snipealot (btw, snipealot tried restreaming some of the Chinese events, but it was still buffering constantly). Ah okay, makes sense. Thanks for the clarification! Now we just gotta get Chinese BW scene to make reliable international stream :D

Then there is also the lag issue...... Chinese streams mostly cater only to Chinese audience, so anyone outside of he Chinese firewall will experience lag.

There are multiple fractions and they all want to do their own thing. Events are posted only very last minute, and are constantly subject to changes (I.e. not very professional). Then there is also the lag issue...... Chinese streams mostly cater only to Chinese audience, so anyone outside of he Chinese firewall will experience lag. Stream lag has gotten better the past 1-2 years. I watch a lot of Chinese Dota streams and they are for the most part lag-free now.
