Bill says: see, you know the washing machine outpipe, that you're supposed to secure against a tub to let the water empty into the tub after each cycle? well, our landlord secured it with duct tape and left it like that for at least 3 months. tonight it fell off and onto the floor. Bill says: the washing machine tried to refill itself, but the water simply ran out of the pipe and onto the floor, causing a flood. when I found it, the water was over 5 cm deep at the deepest parts. the drain on the floor beside the washing machine got clogged with the lint that everyone leaves on the floor from the dryer. Bill says: so I bailed water and dried stuff for 40 minutes. the carpet is still soaked and I don't think I can do anything about that. I'm going to sleep now. the landlord is obviously going to blame me. but the fact is, she used duct tape to permanently secure a pipe in a wet environment, so this disaster was inevitable. heck, it could have been even worse. Bill says: fun fun. goodnight. (by the way, it's a damn good thing I didn't start playing TMM tonight, or else God knows when I would have discovered the flood) | ||
