Someone in the sGs Skype group suggested that we have an AUS/NZ tournament, which I think would be a great idea :D Does anyone have any particular ideas on the format, date, etc.?

Or you can suggest another time. It may take longer than two hours to run the tournament, depending on the number of players
I would assume the server would be iCCup. I would be happy to cast some of it or all of it but if I'm running it then I'd prefer someone else cast it, or if I'm casting then if someone else runs it (by "run" I mean organize people on the day so that everyone knows who to play next, and deals with issues brought up by people).

If we don't get a lot of people maybe just play some silly maps? Or you can combine micro tour maps with this.

Yeah the seriousness of it will depend somewhat on the number of players. 15 people have voted in the first poll so we should be able to do a double elim Ro16 at the very least.

Well, I've been having a think about my life and I don't think I will run this after all; however, I've put the idea out there and there's some information now on what times people want so to whoever picks up the reigns and carries this on, good luck!
I suggest you let the guys over at sc2sea.com know when the tournament details are finalized, as several of them have expressed interest.
Apologies for not going through with my idea but at this stage in my life I have vastly more important things to do, and I've worked out a bit better what my priorities are.

Well, I could help out a bit I suppose. I can make some stream graphics and maybe do some casting. I suppose if you're running it I could even enter And if we get a decent amount of signups I'll probably throw up a prize pool.
