If KTF's unusual appearance is caused by their coach (hair and lip on Reach), this is beyond of what I think a coach would do to his/her players. This is pathetic if the coach did this, I agree with ManaBlue about loving Reach for his "awesomeness ![]()

I've never heard it substantiated before so for now I'll keep an open mind on the issue. I'm not so sure we can just assume Reach got a cut lip from an ass beating from his coach. However, I'd like to question why Reach and Yellow, 2 slumping 1v1 players and the most fearsome 2v2 team to ever play the game were used for 1v1 and Marine/Chojja were used in 2v2. I can say without hesitation that The Marine, while I love him as a player, is not the guy to go with for 2v2 when you've got such strong alternate teams. Even Chojja/Yellow with yellow randoming, or Ra/Chojja net better results. The whole Samsung series was a gong show from start to finish. The KTF lineup was completely ass backwards.

i mean, parents beating their kid is one thing. But the players on KTF are not exactly out of control kids. I'm sure they wanted to win just as much as the coach did. If the players aren't practicing, an inspiration speech for motivation is significantly better than beating the shit out of them. I hate playing when i'm not really in the mood for it T.T either way, gossip is cool!! more gossip gogo

Shaving your head is an Asian tradition that is centuries old, Korean and Japanese both do it, it's meant to show that you have a new determination for a fresh start Believe me, many people did it even before KOR And the KTF coach, Jung Soo Yung, did indeed whip his players with a bat. Garimto said it was to help them concentrate, he mostly did it while they were practicing. Garimto confirmed it to be true on a post on pgr21.com, but he didn't really say anything malicious about it. When [Oops]Lee went to KTF and started doing well in the Proleague, alot of people said it was because of Coach Jung's beatings and locking him a little room to practice. Of course, we'll never know if that's true because the Coach has never said if he did or did not beat the players. All we know now is that if he did beat them with a bat, he doesn't do it anymore

In Korea, it is tradition to shave your head short to indicate that you now have a new heart/mind/determination. You're giving off the impression that you're a new man, and that from this point on you will be different (better). Basically you're saying "alright that's it, it's time to kick things up a notch" You'll see many players do this in Korea (not always gamers, it's a cultural thing) when they slump. Kingdom I recall did this and a few others have to. According to Reach, many of other KTF member's have their hair just as short. I'm scared to look at YellOw >.< This is understandable as KTF's been doing horribly, and their 0-4 loss vs KHAN probably took a big hit. I notice ChoJJa's hair still fine though ;D

This is usually done before long hours of study. As the people before have explained, the culture of shaving your head is done when you are determined to change something for the better. It can also be used as punishment, a father can shave his son's head if he doesn't perform very well at school. This seems to be the case here with KTF
