I will try to respond to every post that I see fit here..

On April 27 2003 00:05 SoA.Testie wrote:
After hearing this vote 1 or 2.

Dudey::: Fake. Note: I was unaware of this since I was out of bnet politics for a long time, but noticed that Dudey has had a long history of trying to cheat in tournaments.

Elky doesn't care. This was a set up. We were essentially robbed. It is true. At first I was the biggest skeptic of it, and had no clue.

Ret vs Dudey 2-1.. dudey claims hack. I /w "What is taking so long...?" Elky> "Hack accusations"
Testie> "Ret"
Testie> "He does T_T!" (my words that I am judging off of a couple suspicious replays he had vs assem in tvt, which could very well be me totally wrong seeing as suspicious things are sometimes bound to happen in tvt and considering when i played him and 4-1'd him or so.. i was not too suspicious he hacked) So yes it was wrong of me to say he does

After he 2-1's Dudey, ret loses 0-2. And he has a friend who is sitting next to him while he games him. And his friend says "This is not the same player at all.." and he likewise agrees. Something has changed. Dudey logs off
Speaks great english again. Time to game testie. Dudey logs on. (Note: Different lag bars every time he logs on and off)

Note: ElkY gives ret the BM message "play or be disqualified" (After he wins 2-1?!!?) ODD!
So, on the basis of my words ElkY will make dudey replay ret, yet on the basis of the whole channels word against dudey (after they are sure he is fake) they will not make him replay ret?

Dudey magically forgets the english language, has no typing speed what so ever because he is likely getting what to say from dudey through whispers (when he had dnd on.. he refused to talk)

So Testie vs Dudey round one. Testie plays like shit and dies anyway, sure that's normal. But he is like "Wow.. this is dudey? He's gotten a lot better.." (Not dudey playing, get the hint?)

I am then messaged by more than one person on dudeys /f list that they are 100% sure he is fake. And he is /f ring his friends so they don't notice him log on / off as much. Then after a LOT of time and trouble... dudey continually relogs as needed to keep proving it's him.

Just then! Testie with the channel pretty sure it isn't dudey.. ElkY "Play him or be disqualified"
Testie> "It's not him!@#%%"
ElkY "Join his game"
Testie> "..."
ElkY "Thank u for ur cooperation."

Testie vs Dudey round two... A little suspicious tvz on nostalgia. Without proper scouting he just builds 20 or so lings and runs up my ramp. I played vs thewind, gyuntae, and many other amazing zergs to practice on that map and you do not see them just build 24 lings to run up someones ramp. Because it is A: Stupid and basing the game off luck instead of skill. B: Not a smart idea without the correct amount of scouting. All he saw was me 2 raxing. But seeing as you can just say "oh he was just testing ramp" I won't go into detail.

In Dudeys profile there is now a picture of Testie.jpg that says "TESTIE IS BEING A NIGGER" with his face beside it on his desk top. Now he relogs again.

Now despite many many many accusations in the channel that it isn't dudey, ElkY just continually says "prove it. prove it. prove it."

So, now after this game.. dudey logs off. Relogs. And Rekrul tells him to take a picture of the screen with his face beside it (after he logged off) and he did that and veg is likely playing the real dudey (probably with a hack) right now. So everyone who played "dudey" got horribly, horribly screwed by this scam.

Options. 1: Let it be Testie vs Ret instead of Dudey seeing as it is known he cheated.

2: Let this horrid injustice go, and say "oh well! we know he did it but fuck, I don't like testie anyway even though he has never spit in my hair for the past couple years."

I have no opinion on the Dudey issue (yet). I haven't been back (went away for the weekend with Korean friends) long enough to know what exactly is going on.

Both options are ridiculous. I would go for something along the lines of option 1 IF IT'S SOMEHOW PROVEN OR VERY CLEAR (as I said I haven't got an opinion on it, yet). However option 1 is stupid as well. First of all someone else should play Bor2March and winner of those should play Ret. Not Ret vs Testie, that's just ridiculous.

Note for all you people who seem to make their jobs out of putting people down: I am not voicing my opinion on the issue; I am merely stating that option 1 is not a valid one.

I also find it quite funny that Testie was like the main supporter of Assem in the whole abuse thing. Saying that there was no proof and he therefor should not be banned. Talking about "no proof" what do you have against Dudey? Sad to see that you change like day and night to help out your friend Assem. Hypocrite.

On April 27 2003 00:14 Hades wrote:
I personally like Testie, I just find it kinda ironic and "Karmatic" that it was slightly based on his hack accusations vs Ret (I dont blame him for this, even that replay vs Dudey does look a lil suspicious) but then instead of playing Ret or Dudey based partly on his accusation he faces Progamer/Hacking zerg...

Hopefully Elky/Smuft/Dudey dont get away clean... I was looking forward to seeing Testie go to Korea, not just because I like him but also because of Nazguls reaction :p

My return-ticket is set for 24th of March, so I'm not going to be in Korea when whoever comes comes. Besides that I'm sure I would get along just fine with Testie.

fuck it
this thing is bullshit

im really sorry nazgul

but this is too much people paid money for this.

The whole thing is bullshit, elky and smuft never got full permission from their manager. The winner isnt joining the dream team.

As sad as it is elky and smuft are probably having jinnam(who is on the dream team) play for ilnp so there is no winner and they dont have the problem of telling the winner they arent going to korea.

There was a missunderstanding during the middle of the season where my manager and Elky and Smuft had a disagreement over WDT. My manager said cancel. Elky and Smuft decided that they wanted to keep the opportunity, for all those people who tried so hard. They were planning on informing the winner about this when the time was right. He is still going to Korea, the only difference is that he will not join the team.

Imagine what would've happened if they released this? They didn't want to disappoint everyone who put in not only time, but money as well.

I have known about this since then. I decided not to tell anyone, not even my closest friends (yes it's possible to have those on the internet). Why you ask? Because every single one of them wanted to go to Korea to persue the career of a progamer. If I told them there was a chance they would stop caring, but I wanted them to win this. Put this tournament at their name. Tomas, Rekrul, Kiddie, Veg and others. I would've loved seeing them take this victory home. THAT is the reason I kept it to myself. Nothing else, just that.

To think Jinnam is playing for Dudey is utterly ridiculous. Whether he's got someone else playing for him - I don't know. All I know is that Jinnam has got absolutely nothing to do with this and the winner will be send to Korea.

Does any of you honestly think they would set up a huge scam just to get some money? Well, If you do; you are wrong.

On April 27 2003 00:23 Sadist wrote:
Now it makes sense why nazgul was like "Im not a part of this dont talk to me about it, etc" right when the season started, he probably knew about it the entire time

would've made sense

Not true, however. I indeed said that right when it started. I, as was everyone else, was under the impression the winner would join our team. Nothing more to it. I said it, because the organisation layed and still lays in Elky's and Smuft's hands. Because I knew that I would not be able to make a difference in certain future decisions (i.e. Dudey, Assem, map choices) I have stated from the start I did not have anything to do with the organisation.

On April 27 2003 00:26 Liquid.Venice wrote:
DO NOT put ANY blame on nazgul.

he never wanted ANYTHING to do with this and was in a horrible position, and it was really hard for me to decide whether or not to say this because it puts him in a very bad position, and i am very sorry.

he shouldnt have told me.

The reason I told you (you know it, others don't) was to make you feel better after it seemed you were going to be excluded from the final tournament over a stupid decision. You did wrong posting it like this. Especially with the assumption of Jinnam playing in it. I never told you that. I specifically told you the winner would still be going to Korea. If he wanted that is.

On April 27 2003 00:50 Hades wrote:
You could have waited... Giving someones word that you wont tell may not mean a lot to you, but I like to stick by my promises unless it is absolutely necessary not to.

You telling was perhaps the right thing to do. The point is it wasnt your right to tell because you were told in confidence from one of your good friends and you promised him not to tell. You didnt even talk to him before telling people. Why couldnt you wait a day or two and talk to Naz before telling? I think that he probably would have told himself after seeing all of this. You didnt give him that opportunity, and now you look like a savior and Naz looks like a jerk.

He obviously did the wrong thing. The ONLY thing that has changed is the player not joining Dream Team. Elky and Smuft were going to 'announce' this anyway. They just wanted to wait so that everything would be ran smoothly (I can see the ironny in that). How can any of you possibly say people got ripped off (EXCEPT FOR RET, as said before I do not want to go into Dudey's case now). You played the ladder, winner is still going to Korea.

Hades is right that Venice shouldn't have posted this. Why? Because he made people think there was something going on that there is not. Especially the part about Jinnam was low, very low. People do stupid things sometimes and I wish Venice hadn't left Liquid. He's a good kid and has some great BW potential.

If Jinsu Plays for ILNP then its cLear why all the maps are ZERG maps no?

The maps are favoring Zerg and Terran because they would like to see a Zerg win. They are of the opinion that the chances are a Protoss player making it would have a much, much harder time doing good in Korea. They are right on this. I personally think that the fact that the maps in Korea suck shouldn't affect the tournament they are running, however I can also see their point of view and agree that if you're aiming for a player to do good a Zerg/Terran has better chances (in general).

On April 27 2003 07:27 Bill307 wrote:
This topic is ridiculous. Almost all of the people who replied did so after hearing only one side (or rather, a few similar sides) of the story. How can one reach a conclusion without hearing what the accused has to say? If you guys were a jury, then you would have just convicted someone without even hearing their defense.

Very right.

Venice did the right thing?
On April 27 2003 00:18 Liquid.Venice wrote:

"bullshit", "isnt joining the dream team". He is simply 'forgetting' to mention to you guys that the player IS going to Korea.

As sad as it is elky and smuft are probably having jinnam(who is on the dream team) play for ilnp so there is no winner and they dont have the problem of telling the winner they arent going to korea.

This part of the message is just completely made up? How did he do the 'right' thing here? All he caused was/is confusion and people being mad over something that there is not.

Imagine what kind of shit they would get if noone went to Korea. Does any of you honestly think this would be worth it for them? Elky's reputation gone to hell over some money? Less than his monthly pay-check from AMD?

Think about it.

Yes they should've let Ret advance. I agree. That's all there is to it. They are idiots if they don't come back on this decision, but certainly do not deserve the shit some of you guys are giving them.

Nazgul, the fact that they were goign to korea is said in the terms of the tournament. Its not my duty to recite the terms and prize of the WDT tournament.

And the part about Jinnam was not very, very low. It was not a personal attack. It was an assumption based on logic which is as good as a person can do in this situation.

"makes perfect sense logically"?

Personally, I don't see it anywhere near that level of logical sense, but that's just me. The "facts" that support this claim seem a bit weak to me and it seems like a pretty unstable case. But again, that's just me.

no probably it wasn't jinnam playing for banana but still someone very very good played instead of this guy. Cause a player who wents like 50% win 50% loss in the ladder doesn't suddenly beat topplayers like testie and veg 2-0. Wtf he was almost untouched in this games, he just owned them.

Something is very odd here, very, very odd

Fact: he played himself against Veg

I don't have an opinion on it, but I and you too should atleast be reasonable enough to recognize the facts.

Better to lie to people who have paid $20 than saying the truth ? So then if they went to trial ... what they would say ? It was for their best? I don't think so ... And what would happen with all people who tried so hard and had paid $20 (it isn't so much but to get lied ... better 4 free) understanding if they won they would go to korea and join dream team ? now are upset about it ...

Thats the most interesting question I heard.

The winner isnt joining the dream team yet smuft directly told me he didnt want a protoss to win.

And for all you fags out there, IM NOT CLAIMING ANYTHING.

Protoss players must feel jewed...
The mere fact that the u have admitted it was favoured towards zerg players is 'evidence' enough this tourny was a scam...
So pretty much now whoever wins is just getting a ticket to korea and they're on their own from there?
What a joke this is... Glad i dont take BW that seriously...
