Is is it just me or does Stork seem slower than the others...

Stork is known for having relatively lower average apm (200-250) compared to other progamers (usually >~300 average), if there was a way to measure effective apm in bw though i wouldn't be surprised if that's mostly effective apm or if he has a higher effective apm percentage than other players. He's extremely knowledgeable and consistent due to being on the scene for so long, and basically he has enough apm to pull off all the strategic maneuvers that he needs to beat the opponent.

Yeah Stork has some of the most amazing strategy and decision making. Reminds me of Much. A lot of times I think "why the hell are they doing that?" and then "ohhhh" when they start dismantling their opponent.

There's always been something hilariously entertaining for me (mandarin speaker) to watch chinese commentary, something about the conversational mannerisms being used that makes chinese commentary by far my favourite to listen to for casual/relatively insignificant PL or group stage matches. Of course the reverse applies when the same mannerisms tend to make finals a lot less tense than they should be. Anyway, going to enjoy these

Thanks for linking this, and hope to see the transcripts soon ^^

There's plenty of jokes about names because of similarities in the korean and chinese pronunciations. Like Stork is often referred to as "Shi Tou" or "Stone" in chinese because he's so consistent and immovable, Jangbi is referred to as Zhang Fei who was a famous general from romance of the three kingdoms who was known for being ruthlessly aggressive, Horang2 is referred to as "Hu Lang" which means Tiger / Wolf in chinese. Unfortunately most of the jokes and play on words can't really be translated because they cease to be clever when you explain it.

Man I've watched a bunch of Flash replays and I've gotta say I feel like my knowledge of the game diminishes every time I watch one.

His games just don't make any sense.

I've come to the conclusion that its like watching a pro poker player, you just can't make sense of their decisions unless you know their past history between players down to each hand. This made perfect sense when I saw a recent Flash interview that he mentioned he based his entire gameplan on some tiny little fact that the recent practise games he had with Jaedong showed JD didn't build the standard 2 sunkens on the 2 rax push timing and opted to defend with lings and one late sunken. So Flash went academy before ebay with a firebat heavy army and won.

Of course TurN just copied this thinking 2 rax firebats was the shit, not knowing that it was due to Flash's past history with practise games against Jaedong rather than an uber build order, and completely failed against Effort.

I find I get a ton more out of watching Fantasy or Sea for learning how to play Terran.

Next project: TBLS Win / lose by build order, date played (by year for large enough sample size), match length, and match up.
Template: http://i.imgur.com/xyiP3.png
Yes this does involve looking at EVERY GAME PLAYED IN DETAIL, so i'm limited to how many vods I can look at / are able to be found. But it should satisfy anyone who has ever asked "What is flash's win rate post the 20 minute mark" or "What is Jaedong's win rate vs Z using 12 pool in 2009 under 15 minutes"
