It is quite common and prevalent for SC2 posters to purport SC2 as the superior game and they don't get banned for it. They get banned for other stupid shit. You're wrong and the mods aren't enforcing some shitty dichotomy.
But the problem is that people do get banned for making fun of BWs gameplay. Or at least flamed to smithereens without any notification from the mods. Geesh, even Rekrul (yes i know, but still) said in that god awful post about Coach Lee (the Heart situation etc.) "since sc2 is such a horrible game....". And if you don't think it is this way, you're just in denial.

TL is very much a place where BW players can get banned for hating SC2. It's just that we never did anything, the SC2 people can to us and were like "Hurry up and die BW!" I myself actually got a personal message with a guy saying "How does it feel to support a dead game while SC2 takes over everything?" We don't hate SC2 at all, well ok some of us, but the rest of us just do it because of all the bashing we receive for loving the best game in the world.
THE POST COUNT! OH GOD THE POST COUNT! I've follow BW for some time, and got introduced TL at the start of sc2. Oh, and you "never did anything"? A lot of memes in this thread itself is "something". Just because some sc2 people are assholes (and get banned for it) doesn't justify that some of the die-hard BW fans are assholes as well, but not getting banned for it. (or it even being notified)

What? nowadays people don't even get warned for writing trash like "can't wait for Flash Jaedong Bisu to switch to SC2!!!" And quite frankly the BW criticism by SC2 players is shallow and ignorant, eg bad graphics, outdated UI, BW is all about mechanics and button mashing etc, made by people who have obviously never bothered to play the game or follow the scene.

I don't want to turn this thread into BW vs SC2, I just want to point out that the "inconsistency", should it even exist, would be justified because the competitive scenes of the two games atm are on entirely different levels. Sorry but I just don't know any way to put that nicely.

Sure, this game is mechanically easier than BW, but it's for a good fucking reason. If you take most of the mechanical training out of Starcraft, then what's left is strategy, i'd like to see strategy improve more than someone's mechanical ability. One of the reasons why people are finding it easier to watch SC2 is because half the time we aren't oggling at someone's ability to macro. Most of the time we're watching their strategies shape and take place in the game.

Writing that sc2 fans can't wait for the best players in BW to switch isn't any kind of hating. That is hype. You should be happy that sc2 fans acknowledge those players are the best. And I'm not saying that there is a difference in the amount of hating, just that hating on sc2 goes unnoticed. And i actually laughed at you saying that wanting Flash Jaedong etc to switch is hating on BW while some of these memes aren't...And of course the skill difference is huge. BW is in general the way better and harder game (at the moment), and the points are justified. But that doesn't justify all the hate sc2 is getting, you even assume that people who comment on BW have no idea how the game is, and has never played it.
