Anyhow, I DON'T think he should have been banned at all because he was only re-creating it because - I think - he thought his first one got closed because he was editing it (he edited in the video link but it was completely empty for a while), so he made a second one to set it right ;O That's what I think at least.

Common sense would have been to think of hallucination as some idiotic spell that never works and changed strategy....but he didn't. And since when is it so common sense to get like 4+ dark archons =o, even in that situation.

I have a question though. Was that 4 maels or 8? They all happened simultaneously so I couldn't follow it. And how did those devs at the bottom get caught? Weren't they too far away from his closest DA?Seriously, I couldn't believe it happened. It seemed like he had magical DAs or something. Eri, somebody, explain to me how the fuck that happened because I've watched the clip 100 times now and I can't figure out the mechanics of how he pulled that off.

It was a standard clone, nothing incredible here. The thing that makes me hard to find this impressive is that they didn't have anything else to be doing. Impressive plays are impressive because somewhere in the middle of macroing their base and controlling all their units, someone finds time to do an impressive micro move. This was like playing MicroWars. ChoJJa can't kill Reach's base, and vice versa, so they end up just looking directly at their units. This is why I don't find this impressive. ChoJJa should have been babying those Devourers like none other, instead of leaving them at a major intersection of the map. Then, Reach has about 2 full seconds to cast 3 Maelstroms. That's not that difficult to do. It's also not hard to figure out that Maelstrom is going to be the most effective spell to cast on those - you're not going to cast Psi and you're not going to try to surrounds them with Archons or something. The move was cool to watch. I would say Reach was behind the entire game and ended up winning with that single move. However, when you look that: 1. ChoJJa was retarded for letting this situtation exist. 2. Reach had nothing else to do but micro his ~20 units. 3. Reach had Dark Archons because ChoJJa was pure air. 4. He cloned 3 Dark Archons in 2 seconds. It's really not THAT impressive.

I think the best part is when the last maelstrom gets the fleeing devourers that you didnt even know were there before the observer scrolled down I agree with this post in its entirety. I've seen dozens and dozens of last second heroics and highlight reel plays in professional sports my entire life (football, baseball, basketball, etc.). I still enjoy watching such dramatics unfold. Same deal with SC. Nothing in this game can truly be called "surprising" or "creative" anymore. This game has been played and studied to death. But it's all in the execution. Ra's Arbiter Reloaded move and Reach's Mudang Maelstrom are, for me, the two single greatest moments I've seen in professional gaming (and I've seen quite a few). I think taking a "ho-hum-been-there-done-that-seen-it-before" approach to either of these moments because they were not "creative" enough misses the point (this means you Eri + Nazgul).
