What programs were you using? There are free trials for sony vegas and adobe premiere online. I've only had good experiences with both programs, although premiere was hard as hell to learn. :/

No it was super pixelated which ruins everything from crowd shots to cool micro moments. I really don't know pull videos off of youtube except with youtubedownloader (and after spending a few hours hunting down the hidden programs the dang thing also installs, I really don't recommend it.)

I've tried a variety of free video editing programs, but the only 'success' I've had is with microsoft movie maker- and that makes we want to throw my laptop at a wall. The stupid program keeps crashing even on my really good computer. Also need to covert from flv to something mmaker understands which is probably where the quality is lost. Windows Live is awful, I didn't have success with Zwei-Stein, and Jashaka I couldn't figure out how to work. But I could try a few free trial versions I guess.

Two suggestions: if you're trying to rip files from youtube or download files in general, use jdownloader. If you copy any URL, jdownloader instantly downloads it. For instance, copy the URL for a youtube video and it pulls all resolutions of it all the way up to 1080 and downloads all mp4 formats as well as only the audio (for all resolutions). Two: Sony vegas is really, really easy to learn and very good overall.

I've recently been getting a stream going and such, once I get the audio sorted I'll probably do little guides on stuff like worker splitting and stuff which I wish I knew a month ago. Having said that, I'm D on iccup and probably not the best person for it xD

I think the one thing that is missed here is the players as stars. There has to be some players who will standout from the competition for the foreign scene to have viable and sustainable support. Otherwise, it will just be like watching the same faceless people everytime and nothing to get excited about.

Hi guys. I uploaded a pilot commentary highlight vid. It's only compiled from like 6 hacklebeast/elegant broadcasts I randomly downloaded. It features ISL, ASL and SAS tour 2 and focuses pretty much solely on P play. It felt wrong to just render the selected clips as they were so I added some credits and tried to make it a bit more coherent and pathetic (see ending).

I do like to keep the videos as clean as possible, no funky special effects because 1) I don't know how to do it 2) I'm too lazy to learn 3) I prefer the clips longer and clear so that you actually know what's going on.

If it was specifically for a league/tournament it could probably be more structured so that it would reflect the progress of the events. Anyway, here it is:

2ne1: What do you think of the format? Can it attract anyone new to watching the casts? Would you watch it just to recap the best moments after watching all the casts? Or is it just not worth it?

2 casters/organizers: Would it be okay for me to make highlights of your league(s)? Or is something like this being done by someone already? I've only managed to find intro videos to the leagues.

I'd rather not commit myself, so a simple "yeah you can download our casts and make a similar highlight vid whenever you want to" is just what I'm looking for. I can't and don't want to promise anything on a "once per x" basis. Ideally I'd just sit down and pick whatever league interests me the most atm and waste a few hours putting it together..

p.s. I've been bold enough to use the casts above without any permissions since it's just a pilot vid, but if I am to do more of these I'd rather know for sure that everyone is fine with it. If any caster or organizer in that vid demands I'll take the vide down as soon as I can.

I definitely support this on behalf of the ASL! Such an awesome highlight video and really entertaining! EleGanT is such an awesome guy and it's nice to see a montage of his casting ^^
