It is a blow, but it doesn't spell the end. 3) There are already enough B-teamers and rookies who don't get broadcast time. This will help the current pool of rookies. It's a good thing. 4) The companies who are quitting are doing so because they are smaller companies that can't afford to pay the expenses of running a team in the current economic situation, compared to huge companies like SK Telecom and Olleh KT. KT even increased the salaries of several players. Team League = Proleague? How is Proleague dead if the finals attracted that many viewers and live audiences? Where are you getting such info? And name me one decent current player who's not a relic of the past who has moved over to SC2 permanently.

If they wanted money I'm pretty sure they wouldn't have become progamers. Ok I guess there will be some jackasses who thinks they can get rich playing sc.....

This would make sense, if it weren't for the fact that Brood War is dead and buried internationally and that any korean who plays SC2 is a goddamn rockstar when they come to an MLG. Jaedong said he wants to be recognized internationally and this is the way to do it. User was warned for this post

Way to go my friend, I know that these post is kind of tolerated XXXXXX go sc2 for the sake of esport mantra and all of that stuff . If people fail to realized how prestigous and hard these game is . How many hours and time has been put up just to get broodwar to it's level now. They wouldn't have easily come so easy to a conclusion XXXX go to sc2 . As you know the bw scene wasn't constructed by hype or money pool it all started with people sincerely wanting to play the game's they love and get paid at the same time . Just read crazyasme boxer blog and you would have gotten a picture how much time they have put in for a so called game . http://boxerbiography.blogspot.com/ Do you really think sc2 is willing to take on a guy who will devote his whole live to destroy all opposition any team or individual that you so called by many TOP 2 Micro ?.You haven't seen how crazy he could be when he was at his prime. Even mentioning his name in a game you are suppose to play with him is enough to send you shivering in the game booth . Jaedong has been a monster in broodwar and although he hasn't been himself lately and even in he's so called weaken state he still destroys flash in TvZ all the time . Oz fan's has been waiting for the tyrant to take his throne back and to destroy the blasphemous revolution Hydra has started in the zerg hive. These year jaedong is probably has set in his mind to overcome all hardship in his way probably even learning from jangbi that there is a way to come back to the top seeding again that is through hardwork and dedication. ![]()

He said it's dead internationally, which is actually half true... if you count internationally as the western world. People forget China way too often, and it has the potential to power Esports with looser regulations. WCG in Chengdu? Broodwar easily had 20k people watching finals live. SPL in Shanghai? People came from all across China, though was cockblocked by by a hurricane. The "global" section in DES is not in English, but in Chinese.

I've followed the pro-scene in BW for 12 years now and I do not understand why long time fans of this site and game should be harrased while browsing the site.

Really?... I've only seen it grow pretty consistently since launch... I guess i could be wrong, but I doubt it. EDIT: But I guess with the recent Kespa announcement Jaedong will most likely end up on one of the new teams.
