And maybe MKP actually is gay? Who cares? 1) who cares if he is gay? 2) I'm guessing you don't follow the SC2 scene. + Show Spoiler +3) he is so cute i just wanna hug him and cuddle with him all night. no homo. Too many people misinterpret the style of clothing looking "gay" if you don't like it then cool, that's your opinion when in reality they're just trying to look good and there is nothing wrong with that, or being a homosexual.

ETA: Yellow's Code A group just started (4pm KST), but he's asked that his early games not be broadcast I have a $100 BW tournament planned for October. If YellOw qualifies, I'll make it a $150 tournament. I think my money's safe, though. So his later games might be broadcasted or..?

Well wolf tweeted that he was willing to have his games broadcasted now. he got through the first round because his opponent didn't show. I hope they show his game in the next round ^^

Yellow's playing against "GaeShikReverse", a noname, on the stream now, over on the right.
+ Show Spoiler +Yellow won the first round on a bye, and lost the first set of the second on a technicality of some sort involving his hotkeys, but I don't know the details.
Yellow's having trouble keeping his money low. He was floating 1000/1000 for a while ;_;
Result (spoiler, obs) + Show Spoiler +Despite some macro troubles and a hotkey issue, Yellow defeats the noname 2-1. YellOw gets the noname's refinery down to 150 HP, and the noname lets it burns down :/
Noname responds by pulling all his SCVs and doing an all-in. YellOw holds it with a good flank and decent patience. Yellow now faces "Maelstrom", who I think made it to a broadcast game once, but isn't a pro
IU faces the winner of Mirdori and Replica, and the winner of that plays the winner of YellOw/Maelstrom in the round of 4 of his group. These are all no-names, so YellOw has the easiest bracket imaginable. Conspiracy! Basically, it's all no-names until the finals, and then I'm calling San making it to the other side. San's a bit washed up, but was pretty good for a while, and is a legitimate challenge. Oddly, he's not playing under the NSHoSeo tag anymore, indicating he might've left. If so, YellOw could conceivably make it through the qualifiers without facing a single person who's actually on a team.

he was floating 1000/1000 because he was waiting for his spire to finish and get a bunch of mutas straight away.
he lost the first set because he was using the wrong hotkeys and couldn't produce the stuff he needed (the players use the same computers, he didn't know that the previous guy had changed the hotkey for queens)
he won the third set, he's improved drastically. go yellow!

and the loss in the first game happened because someone elses hotkeys were on the computer and he didn't realise it so he couldnt make queens ;\

He did it again later before making 19 roaches, which still left him with like 500 gas. Still, he's playing competently.
Since no one else is spoilering, I guess I won't either. Be warned.
On September 03 2011 17:41 Nouar wrote:+ Show Spoiler +Just won 2-1, seems his hotkeys changed in g1, and he could produce whatever unit hence lost. Game 3 was won after a 6tank/4thor/50SCV/120pop/2base allin or something. Stalled a little, killed scv with banes, stalled until he got 200, made a sandwich with roaches, crushed him.
He's up to the ro8. edit : ouch, if YellOw goes on to the finals he should face San, a very good protoss. Buuuuut San has a shitty vs Z record ! So..... maybe :p (dunno if the RyanBoxeR in the bracket is BoxeR?)
If San is no longer on NSHoSeo, YellOw could qualify without playing a single person on a team. RyanBoxer is a no-name, the real one is SlayerS_Boxer.

San wants to join a foreign team, but he's quite good still and IMO Yellow said his worst matchup was ZvP.

Ah, that makes sense. San's absolutely the biggest challenge in YellOw's way (which is still kind of lucky, given that it'd could've been Seed or Seal or someone). I just fight it interesting that it's a whole bracket of unemployed people.
He is doing okay, though.

ANOTHER YELLOW GAME ON THE STREAM MOMENTARILY. YELLOW IS UP 1-0.
It's start when set 2 starts. People milling about until then.

Ok YellOw is NOT in the same bracket as BoxeR. He's in group D. So the only pro I know of is San... Slight chance maybe... probably not a chance but... you never know ;D San never won a GSL bo3 since his semi final of code S in ..march ?

Yup, it's actually an excellent draw for him. Literally 0 of the players up to his bracket finals have any tournament matches under their belt in SC2 (of any kind, online or offline). Might be playing under a fresh id but judging from the play in the first match it looks more like people who made the masters point cut off and came for an outside shot of qualifying + the chance a team might pick them up.
The top half of his bracket looks tough though (Revival/San/Kasyu are all good) so if he were to make the finals he'll definitely have a tough opponent there.

Fun fact: There's no Korean stream for this. This stream is set up by Torch and the English commentators on their own time (that's why it's amateurish, but Koreans get nothing)

Protoss is doing a weird build. Spores detect. Why force a bunch and transition into DTs? To make archons, apparently (enh....)
YellOw's a little too flippant with his queens, which hurts, but he's still up a base, and not too bad off.
Edit: YellOw's dead. He lost his queens, and couldn't make enough units. He needed to keep them safe by the spores, and then he would've been able to get enough units to hold that followup. The followup itself was very unusual, though.
Next map is Daybreak, which is Match Point from BW flipped upside-down, so Yellow should be familiar with it.

Macro slipping a bit, and he made the mistake of thinking that hydralisks are good in SC2.
|
that was mean.
+ Show Spoiler +chargelots/archon/phoenix/1void vs a few hydras.... YellOw got rolled.
edit : oh, there's RevivaL in his bracket as well. So it's 100% sure he won't make it. Definitely.

It was just the macro. Roaches in front of those hydras = holds it EZPZ.
