Anyways, I hope it survives because it's obviously very important, but I can't justify creating fake interest that could hurt the company. gl guys Edit: as far as it hurts SC2 the loss of a major esports outlet like MBC game removes esports from the public eye a little more, and influences less people to take up starcraft in general (1 or 2), and therefore less pro-gamers. As well, the loss of something like MBC game can de-legitimize esports in general because many could start to see it as a less stable thing than it used to be, with channels folding etc. Things like MBC game create pro-gamers, and pro gamers play games, that improves esports because you have more talent/variety of people, as well as increases level of play potentially in their game, or any game they switch to. Don't forget that many SC2 progamers are SC1 pro gamers that switched. I expect many retired SC1 pro gamers may make the switch to SC2, so the potential for more skill in both scenes is good. That's all I could really think of off the top of my head lol | ||

Regarding SC2, people were talking about how SC2 can be taken to a bigger stage now that the Kespa-Blizzard conflict has been resolved. But how will that be possible when a big part of the infrastructure for esports broadcasting in Korea is wiped out if MBCGame is dissolved? OGN only will the only major esports channel left. | ||

It ensures that nobody has to watch crappy players like CatZ in tournaments when Thorzain and Naniwa aspire to compete with the Koreans. If there's no incentive for skilled players in Korea to join professional gaming, the entire scene as a whole will suffer. Don't be stupid and think that this doesn't effect you. If you truly truly care, you'll try and understand, and hopefully, help. | ||

BW = Korean scene, there's no international scene much anymore. MBC = 50% of Korean BW (OGN the other half) That's how it's going to hurt our ESPORTS - which is why we're showing support. I think everyone knows we can't really DO anything, but at least we're getting behind something we care about. | ||
