MBCGame to shut down? - Page 71
Forum Index > BW General |
Keep any SC2 vs BW comments out of this thread. This is a thread about Brood War and Esports (Tekken Crash, Special Forces, etc) in general. If you discuss what this means for ESPORTS be sensitive about it.

The one channel that's changing to a MTV channel? That's your esports right there eh? You seem to not care much about esports at all just how your own game's scene is like. But no view of the overall developement of esports. games come and go, ESports stays No. This is the big fallacy. The appeal to abstract / appeal to emotion of the esports term. It is where all the conflicts and arguments start from. Instead, let us look at the subject from the view of actual reality, of what we personally like instead of what concepts of entertainment industry would like to change. It is that simple. Its all about Brood War. Esports comes and goes, Brood War stays in our hearts forever.

I'm not even sure how to use my big boy words to describe how much this hurts, the MBC switch. For 7 years now I've been watching BW. Stayed up late for MSLs, caught the games on youtube, cheered and even jumped out of my chair at times. I'm really glad I got to experience watching all those games and I'm really hoping that BW stabilizes since it's such an incredible game to watch and play.

hope its not true but OSL and proleague will survive. If not, TBLS is coming to sc2, if you thought the koreans were taking our monies before, imagine an entire league of best RTS players in the world entering the fray.

Some BW players may join SC2, but it's not a foregone conclusion. I'm sure plenty of BW pros see SC2 as an inferior game. The highest paid players like Flash may end up just retiring. And that would be a tragedy.

MBC Game TV schedule Hopefully this is just a rumour like WeMade FOX disbanding was. Four regularly scheduled Kpop music shows are more than enough. ![]() Edit. Sorry if this causes a repeat of the previous discussion. I read through the whole thread and felt this needed to be made clear.
