BoxerR's retirement gift to Yellow:
Given Yellow's comments about Boxer switching to SC2, this seems a little passive-aggressive from the Emperor.

btw why do some of you guys hope that certain BW players/retired players will switch to SC2? It's pointless wishful thinking...most of the brood war players that want to switch already have. Unless your only a practice partner or play very badly, it's kind of hard to be a regular brood war progamer and think "oh I'm going into SC2 after I'm done with this" at the same time. It's really difficult to be a good progamer unless all your attention is into one game or the other. Because we love watching great players play Starcraft 2? And we all still actually play SC2, whereas I'm sure far fewer members here still play BW. (And in general there is actually a foreign SC2 scene, and 0 foreign BW scene, so that drives a lot of interest and desire for GREAT competitions.) And many, I'm sure, find it more fun to watch and play at this point. lol. You obviously have never watched a BW game if you really mean that SC2 is more fun to watch. Either that, or you know nothing about BW and so end up being lost in every game you watch. That's one of the dumbest things I've ever read, and I'm not even being a BW elitist. I play SC2 now more than I've ever played BW. Still, watching SC2 does not hold a candle to BW.
People flood SC2 LR threads with posts like "EPIC!" or "BEST GAME EVER" after games that would be pretty standard BW games. If only they knew what they were missing by limiting themselves to watching SC2 instead of both.

I think he should have retired years ago. :/
Glad he has the chance to move on now and I wish him all the best!

I watch both, it's all opinion.

I watch both. I think SC2 has the potential to be as good as BW, easily, the play just isn't on that level yet. For now, BW > SC2, spectator-wise.
Now, back on-topic: I want to be a YellOw fan, so I hope he comes over to SC2

Lets just hope that we'll see him in sc2 instead .

I never really got into competitive BW despite playing for ages, because I didn't like watching the streams when the only language was korean. I only ever watched recasted or extremely hyped games on youtube.
I don't get how the brood war elitists say playing SC2 would somehow "taint" YellOw. How? They are different games, if he doesn't succeed it doesn't take anything away from his BW achievements.

I wouldn't mind if he went over to SC2 to seek new endeavors, but the way Yellow worded his retirement statement implies he will have nothing to do with E-Sports.

I'm playing SC2 but I prefer watching BW.

You could really piss off some diehard BW fans. I for one am also kind of pissed. I enjoy both SC2 and BW. And certainly would never say anything like "oh, but ppl like SC2 better." No, not really. That's just your opinion Am...and you haven't noticed every 2ed post from old bw players, is in fact how much better the game was/or how much better it was as a sport ?

That it was disgraceful and stuff.
According to Boxer's fiance, the box was actually empty. They're holding the CD for him in the SlayerS house for when (if) he decides to switch to SC2, along with a SlayerS uniform for him.
I wonder how much Boxer is trying to coax over BW players, or if this is a special thing just for Yellow.

Okay that's just lame if it's true, why would Yellow fall for those antics if he already called Boxer out on switching.

Personal preference, I haven't heard a really good english commentary since Klazart stopped commentating, Tastosis is oke but I prefer the korean commentary even in GSL.
