I guess it will be like OSL finals, anyone can watch for free, but people with tickets get a free Proleague gift or something. It's gonna be such a mess... Flash really needed his 20 bodyguards at the OSL finals, and I think Bisu is even more popular than Flash here. So if we have both Bisu and Flash... It was part of an interview the secretary-general of Kespa did about the Shanghai finals published yesterday in the lead-up to the PL final. The relevant sentence about SC2 was "We think that SC2 is also one of the excellent games in the esports scene. Through close cooperation with Blizzard Entertainment, we will nurture more star players from SC2". From his answers, it seems to me that Kespa will continue to grow BW while eventually also entering SC2 at some point in the future, in some shape or form. One league in SC2 is just too little in South Korea (out of hundreds of players who compete in the GSL [either Code B, Code A, etc), only the top 32 Code S players really receive anything. Having another league in Korea would help (though a KeSPA SC2 league in China wouldn't be bad either). | ||

As much disdain is thrown towards Kespa (lol ppp), they however have a good solid system with the PL/OSL/MSL that gives all aspiring players a decent chance to get exposure. Gom is doing a decent job with SC2 given the smaller market and them managing nearly everything though it is quite difficult for new players to get in because the Code-A qualifiers are insanely difficult and other chance is to get picked up by a team The extended exposure of BW into the rest of China is awesome. It does make sense given BW's popularity there and anything that makes BW bigger is good | ||
