Samsung Khan’s Brave has finally scored his first win in Winners’ League. At that time when his seniors were slumping in the 1st and 2nd rounds, Brave helped his team’s record by making a winning streak, but near the end of the 2nd round, something happened to him and made him lose concentration in practice, which made him enter a losing streak. The moment she saw his discomposed self, Coach January suddenly pulled aside Brave and talked sense into him, pointing out what was wrong in order to re-motivate him. Brave regained a hold of himself and progressed in practice again, leading to him guiding the way and leading his team to victory today.
Q: You came out and won in the first set.
A: Since it’s been such a long time since I’ve won, I’m kind of bewildered at myself. Even though I won the first set, when I sat down in the booth, I felt that I was going to lose today. I was in a 3 loss losing streak, but since I’ve finally ended it, for now, I’m really happy.
Q: What do you think was the reason why you were in a losing streak?
A: I had something bad happen to me, so I couldn’t concentrate on practicing at all. I had too many thoughts going on at the same time, which really made my mind disarrayed. Although I still haven’t resolved the situation yet, I’ll try to concentrate on my games and show a better self.
Q: You successfully stopped an incoming Hydralisk rush.
A: When Zerg players come out, there’s a more than 70% chance that they’ll do an all-in attack. If they kill my scouting probe, that means they are most likely preparing some kind of all-in counterattack. That’s why I was able to successfully prevent it.
Q: Air Force ACE has become affiliated as a weak team lately, did you desire to rack up a lot of wins against them? [T/N: Poor ACE… Being called a weak team now
]A: I wanted to win on the map “Bloody Ridge” and get a 2nd kill. But frankly speaking, I think that I could have gotten a 2nd kill on “Empire of the Sun” if I had faced off against a different race. Since I only got 1 win, it’s really regrettable. [T/N: Bloody Ridge: PvZ 7-10; Empire of the Sun: PvZ 10-6, map imba sucks!]
Q: Although you got a lot of flaws pointed out by your coach, did you yourself know that you were disarrayed?
A: I usually practice a lot, but since something bad happened to me recently, I began to neglect practicing. The other day, Coach January told me to practice really hard and said, “I never thought that I would the one be telling you to practice.” I used to practice really hard, but lately I guess I showed a discomposed side of myself. I reflected upon her words, and now I’m back to practicing really hard again.
Q: Are you envious of
TurN for getting 3 kills?A: I am jealous, but since we still have a lot of matches to go, I want to show a better side of myself in the future.
Q: What is your resolution for the remaining matches?
A: In Winners’ League, only 4 people get to play and be seen a lot, and since our team has a lot of Protosses, there aren’t that many chances to participate. However, if our coach continues to trust in me and gives me a chance to participate, I will try my best to rack up multiple wins. I want to become a player that can contribute at least 2 wins for my team.
Q: Any last words you want to say?
A: Whether it’s during team practice or in broadcasted matches, I’ve shown a weak performance against Terrans. However, I’ve been practicing against Terrans a lot recently so now I have confidence in facing off against them, but everyone doesn’t believe me. Even the coach said after the 1st set, “Thank god your opponent wasn’t a Terran” (laughs). I really have confidence in playing against Terrans now. Next time, I want to win against a Terran so that I can change everyone’s minds about me being weak against Terran.

Samsung Khan’s TurN achieved 3 kills, which was more than anyone had expected and allowed him to establish the position of leading player. Samsung’s opponent was Air Force ACE, who had defeated them in Round 2, but TurN took this chance to get revenge to score 3 kills and secured his position as a reliable player. TurN said, “From now on, if I am given more chances to participate in the future, I want to rack up more wins in addition to wanting to become a player that pays back his team with good performances.”
Q: You became the leading player by winning 3 kills
A: It had been quite a while since I last participated, so I was really nervous. Despite my nervousness, after scoring 1 kill, my mind became more at ease so that I could play more comfortably later on. Since I got off to a good start, my games went better than I thought they would.
Q: What did you think of today’s games?
A: Since I didn’t expect to get to the point of a 2nd and 3rd set, I was panicking. After worrying a lot over how I would handle things, I just decided to improvise my games; thankfully I was lucky and my games went well so that I was able to win.

ggaemo has the role of being the ace player on Air Force ACE; did you have any confidence that you would win against him?A: I was really nervous and full of tension. Since I had never encountered
ggaemo’s build in practice before, I just decided to improvise my play, which went surprisingly well. Although I couldn’t end the game cleanly in one go, I tried not to be flustered, and by making wise decisions, I was able to win.Q: You were in a critical situation when
ggaemo’s Lurkers busted through into your base during the 2nd setA: I thought that I was in a bit of an advantageous position. Q: You’ve become much stronger compared to last year; do you want to rack up even more wins in this season’s Winners’ League?
A: Last year, I didn’t get even one chance to participate in Winners’ League. In this Winners’ League, my personal goal is to try to aim for 3 or more kills. Since I was able to achieve that goal today, I’m really happy.

GoRush lost a lot of his Mutalisks after destroying my turrets, so he matched my pace. A: Since it’s been such a long time since the last time I’ve participated and got 3 kills today, I’m satisfied with myself. Although I felt happy to beat a former team member in the last match, I felt guilty about my win afterwards, so I want to avoid meeting
