It could be worse, you could have been a guemchi fan when guemchi got the first protoss all kill some time ago... guemchi... lol

It was scientifically proved that mighty Guemchi was, and who knows, maybe still is the best protoss player to ever walk on Earth.
proof is right here:

Don't know why people are bashing Stats when he's one of the most consistent Protoss players on the scene presently; he's right behind Stork, Kal, and Bisu right now as one of the best Protoss players this year, and unlike the majority of the aforementioned players, he doesn't has a specifically weak match-up (but on the flip side, he doesn't specialize in any match-ups either).

Granted, all-killing ACE doesn't seem to be much of an accomplishment apparently, but remember that Light started his all-kill spree by all-killing ACE first and, I dare argue, that if wasn't for FanTaSy, Stats would have had a legitimate chance at all-killing T1 (he HAS beaten Bisu before and Bisu's vP is arguably not as impressive as BeSt's vP, and Stats had already beaten BeSt in the first game of WL 2011).

Beyond Stats, congratulations to Bisu for the most recent all-kill (against STX at that) and FanTaSy and RorO for the near all-kills. Hoping to see more intense competition in these next two rounds.

This is where I start to have problems. For one, KT fans overhype him quite a bit.
In my eyes, he is behind Snow and Pure, along with the rest of the dragons except Jangbi/possibly Best, simply because he hasn't accomplished much worth mentioning. He may be #3 toss by ELO, but that's because free/Kal recently dropped off in performance while he got an all-kill after a rather mediocre showing in the weeks before.
He's not bad, he's just far too overhyped and honestly nothing more than a decent/good player. I wouldn't call him a top protoss by any stretch of the imagination. Perhaps a top protoss for the few days since New Years, but that distinction will be short-lived.
If you are not Bisu, chances are I hate you.

I partly agree that he's generally overhyped (he's still really young though) but I wouldn't call Pure better than him. Sure, Pure achieved more (that is, an OSL ro4 vs Stats' MSL ro8) but he's also been around far longer and is horribly inconsistent.
Also, I know that statistics don't say everything and that it's still a relatively small sample pool, but he has a 55% winrate in his worst matchup. Not many players can say that.

I think the OP's definition of an almost AK is to win 3 games and lose the 4th game. Both Jaedong and Flash aren't there, the first almost AK in the OP¨is about Fantasy.

I've been wondering..... I remember last year, there was also a REVERSE ALL-KILL list. Is OP going to have that as well when the due time comes or just count it as ALL-KILL.... hmm...

Reverse all kill is a must I think, its like the most badass thing you can do in WL, the reverse all killer is under constant threat of losing the whole match for a team.
Also, nearly being all killed and then all killing just sounds awesome.

I honestly feel the same way about Bisu... guy puts up no results in individuals something like 4-5 seasons in a row, has an average vT when it counts and although he is tearing up PL, I doubt he will ever even reach a final (or Ro4 really) again in his career. SKT fans are quick to say he is back and he is indeed probably the second best protoss after Stork, but that's not really saying too much in my opinion. In alot of ways Bisu reminds me of Leta nowadays.

Anyways just my opinion.

I find most interesting that our first two AKs were by Protoss players. I'm down with legacy-of-Guemchi and everything, but it's a little odd.

I'm not trying to over-hype Stats, but at the same time I think he's being undervalued for his consistency in recent memory. Compared to the majority of other Protoss players, it's true that his individual accomplishments aren't impressive (beyond his NATE MSL performance, I can't really recall any recent Starleague where he has gone beyond Ro32/36) but he makes up for this shortcoming by being an invaluable player on the KT Rolster in the Proleagues.

While JangBi/BeSt/Pure/free are all a lot more accomplished than Stats, it doesn't necessarily mean that they are miles ahead of him. If Stats is capable of taking games off BeSt and Bisu (not the best examples to use given their current form in the vP match-up, but that's really all I got), then he at least stands a chance against JangBi, Pure, and Snow (tentative on free since despite being in a slump he's still a decent player), particularly the latter two. Slump or not, I just find it somewhat hard to believe that, concerning primarily performance quality, Pure and Snow are considered superior and not players of equal level.
