Feel some inflation this season, especially with team prices. Gotta at least dish out 3 points for a non-Ace team, and if I want like a decent team, I have to fork out at least like 5 points.

i feel KT and OZ are going to be SUCH good teams to get this round lol

omg finally ^_^ i am so pumped

Face it HotBid, the only reason you posted meaningless lists like Two/Three Top 10 Finishes was to put your own name on there. It's okay, I would have too.
I'll be signing my team up shortly, as soon as my team of analysts finish running the numbers.

my team & analysis: the esports pwnage incarnate crew
+ Show Spoiler +Main Team2 AnytimeHe's on Oz, and is probably the 2nd best player. Count on him to be sent out a good number of times provided JD doesn't win everything. A definite steal for main. 3 BraveIn a time when P is strong (several teams that are doing well have at least one strong protoss), Brave has quietly amassed a solid record vP. Coupled with Stork (who is looking weakest at PvP recently), he can help Khan overachieve. 5 CalmAnother solid vP player and STX's second ace. He'll be sent out a lot more now that he's in form, and expect him to be a clutch player. 3 sKyHighso i herd streakbreaking flash/light/sea/midas/fantasy is worth extra points 5 SnowA good all-around player on hite. Pretty tough to snipe, since he's developed his vZ and vP matchups, and he can snipe almost anyone at vT. 7 Stork (captain) I don't get why the #1 PR player is worth barely half as much as the #5 PR. 4 STXI would have picked MBC, but their aces aren't looking very strong lately. And Oz can't even bank on JD to win everything. STX it is. Anti Team3 Crazy-HydraI'm pretty sure he's a fluke, and his team isn't winning. Why is he 3 points? 3 HoGiLvP sniper my ass. He hasn't beaten a capable, in form PvZ player since a hugely streaky run last year in SPL. What does Hogil even snipe these days? A sick JD? 7 LightYou might be thinking, wait, what? It's true that Light can beat zergs. But what kind of team is idiotic enough to throw zergs at Light? Obviously, it'll be Terran or Protoss. Light's been figured out since his epic run last year. Most teams have not one but two players who could beat Light. That's more than enough to stop him.
Streak ending is worth points now, which gives a bit of an edge to snipers. Without that, I probably would have gotten Classic instead of Skyhigh and used the extra points on a 6-point team. To be honest, I'm still considering that, since the streak ending points aren't exactly huge. Right now, I wouldn't be as confident in KT or Oz as I normally would in SWL. Flash and Jaedong are looking more mortal than ever, and (assuming their winrates have dropped to a depressing 66%) their chances of an All-Kill are around 20%. But who'd cover for Flash or JD if they do lose once? Once Flash and JD go, the rest of their teams are generally comprised of below-average or out-of-form players, which means deep teams like STX can actually beat KT and Oz. That doesn't mean they're not going to win, though. If JD gets 3 wins (not unlikely) and Backho/Hiya/Anytime can muster together a single win between the three of them, that's still a win for Oz. Same if Flash wins 3 times and Stats/rOo/Action pull something together. What I'm worried about is that if Jaedong or Flash lose after picking up only 1 or 2 wins, their respective teams are probably doomed. And that's looking more likely than usual right now. Prices are not so much inflated as scattered. I felt like there was a large range of players with about equal skill levels that spanned point values 2-9. Although that's probably a side effect of R2 being really weird in that almost nobody played consistently. Except Stork. Who is now 7 points.
Subject to change.

God damn with these prices teams are going to be so hard to pick... but I can't wait for WL to start, I WANT MY FIRST PLACE WIN!

2010 Shinhan Bank Winners League: Record: 27 wins - 9 losses (75.00%) (6-6 TvP. Wins over Sangho, Bisu, Best, Much, Reach, Pure, losses to Violet, free, Jangbi, Snow, Guemchi, Kal.)
2009 Shinhan Bank Winners League: Record: 13 wins - 6 losses (68.42%) (3-3 TvP. Wins over Bisu, Best, Guemchi, losses to Jangbi (in PvT god mode), free, movie.)
um, good luck with that. Light has been producing in Proleague for four years now, with wins against top Protoss as well. Sure, he loses to noobs like Perfectman sometimes, but Light during Winner's League is scary as hell.

can we create a thread to post teams then?

Main Team:
2- Anytime: He's a banner for the OZ clan, and they will be waving him proudly this round. When things get dicey you can expect the Death God to make his appearance in order to rally the rest of his team. On top of that, he's looked, while not spectacular, fairly Solid and capable on a team where the Only other Solid players are Jaedong and HiyA.
7- Hydra: This is Hydra's breakout season, and this round is going to shove him right Into the spotlight. He's performed for Entus admirably these last few rounds and has shown no signs of weakening. If he stays the course, he will Only be showing better and better results given the WL format. (Also, I Really need a CJ zerg to cheer for now that EffOrt is retired and sAviOr is in jail xD)
2- Iris: We haven't seen much of the Berserker recently, seeing as he's probably still adjusting to his New life at aCe, but we all know what this man is capable of. On top of that, his 3 most recent appearances this past round resulted in him going 2-1, Only dropping a Game to a streaking Bisu, and managing to take out Really. For two points, I'll gladly take the most consistent player currently on aCe, both historically, and at present given the numbers.
5- Snow: Okay. They guy hasn't exactly been killing everyone and God lately. But he also isn't doing poorly. Snow has an immense amount of talent, and Only room to grow. A couple streaks this WL and I think we could see him, much like Hydra, Really break out and show us what he's capable of (Dreamleague Bonjwa anyone?). Also, given the Terran heavy reliance of some teams such as MBC and FOX, as well as the sure snipes he could get against Fantasy or Flash (we know he's capable of taking these two out), I can see him wracking up the points given the coaches put him out against the right teams.
7- Stork: The Dino-toss, the Goddamned COMMANDER for 7 points!?!? Need I say more? Probably not, but I will. Stork is hot right now, and he's just getting started. While some may argue that his inclusion in both individual leagues will sap his viability in the Winner's League, Song Byung Goo is also the same guy who plays cell phone games instead of practicing for Major games. Oh, and he wins despite this. . THAT'S how baller this guy is. He plays a well thought out, funky PvZ that screws with conventional timings and basically makes the Z second guess themselves. His PvT is ungodly (Flash reference ). And his PvP should be able to beat out nearly any other Protoss in the Game right now with at LEAST 50/50 odds. At 7 points, he's an absolute steal! Also, we don't have to worry about January picking Noobies for aCe matches and denying Stork a chance to Shine, IT'S WINNERS LEAGUE! When those noobies screw up, he has to come in and play! ^_^ With EffOrt gone, Stork is probably my favorite player in the league right now, and I believe!
1- XellOs: This may seem odd to some, but I just have a gut feeling about the Perfect Terran this round. The New BLooD on the aCe team is stirring the old, and XellOs is going to pick up his Game and get sent out, I just know it.
3- Samsung KHAN: Capable of MUCH more than their current standings. While I don't expect them to sweep the round or anything like that, they're capable of fielding a pretty wide array of Solid players in the forms of Stork, JangBi, and great on top of the burgeoning talent, which will result in an much improved standing for the KHAN clan.
ANTI-TEAM:
7- Fantasy: I hate Fantasy. I have hated the man since I saw him play for the First time and I saw his dumb gawky face. I have no reasons, just blind hatred. This is more me hoping he loses. So Fantasy, PLEASE LOSE. ALOT. Sincerely, you're biggest anti-fan Kimaker.
PS: You're TvZ is gimmicky and weak, and you're TvP has been figured out. Keep up the good work.
3- Kwanro: Slumping hard, and not looking to get any better. He's probably going to see some sort of play since SKT may want to snipe a P or something, but he'll just screw up. He's an all-in Zerg, something SKT already has in Hyuk, who is much more acceptable to my sensibilities. Shoulda stuck with CJ man.
-_-
...yeah, I'm still bitter.
4- Mind: Mind burst forth recently and looked like he was going to regain his MSL dominance. Got news for ya, not gonna happen people. He's going to get knocked out of the individual leagues and then fade back Into obscurity. Not to mention he's on a team stacked with Terrans, most of whom I feel are better than him. He's not going to see much play, and when he does, he's going to lose.

I'm not willing to give him nearly as much credit based on performances that happened 1 year and 2 years ago, respectively. The SWL format won't change the fact that Light hasn't exactly been the best vP or vT player recently. Based on the fact that he keeps running into the enemy's ace and losing, I'd say he's easily snipeable and not going to be as much of a force as in past years. EDIT: Also note that protosses in general are stronger this season than in 2010 and 2009. The possibility of being sniped by PMan & Friends is going to put a dent in Light's playability.
@below: Roro is NEVER a solid anti-team pick. edit: wait, ehhhh, maybe. Although he's very capable of breaking out at any moment. Roro is S-class reader for a reason.

Roro seems a solid antiteam pick this time around >.>

You NEVER EVER pick RorO for AT or MT. Either way he will find a way to screw you lol
