Bisu is far away the best still. When you look at his macro and micro, they are the best. unfortunately he has a bit mind problems, crippling confidence in indiv league

kal's got better micro than bisu. it's very hard to differentiate one's self in terms of macro nowadays though. everyone is really close (aka bisu's macro is not any better than any other top protoss).

bisu is better at adapting his playstyle usually, but kal has had the most impressive control of any protoss for at least the last year.

Regardless, as of right now, Bisu is in my opinion the strongest Protoss. But if we're considering all of 2010? Probably Stork.

How did Kal win this? lol

this.
every JD-fanboy seems to hate Bisu here.
Stork is 2010, but bisu is still overall better.

Because unlike a certain SKT Protoss, Kal is still in both leagues, and has been for most of the year.

Well, the award's mainly for individual play. If you go with that, then Kal was by far the best.

Proleague though, he's only slightly above average. 9-7 this season. 28-27 last season extending to beginning of the year.

Personally that's why I voted Stork, because I think proleague does count some too given how much players care for it.

2010 Proleague records:

Kal: 37-34
Bisu: 32-21
free: 30-19
Stork: 30-21

2010 Individual records:

Kal: 37-25, WCG Korea bronze
Bisu: 31-16, no medals
free: 30-23, no medals
Stork: 24-14, no medals

Total:
Kal: 74-59
Bisu: 63-37
free: 60-42
Stork: 54-35

While I voted for Stork in the poll here, I gotta say it looks like Kal deserves it, even with his Proleague problems. He's got the only medal, and while he didn't give the strongest league performance of the year (that would be free's OSL run) the game numbers make it pretty clear he was more consistently going deep into leagues. Plus he has kept a winning PL record so far, and has the most total wins by a good margin. Honestly I'm astounded by the PL record for Kal: I had no idea he had that kind of a workload - with Calm and now Bogus as potential aces on the team, to say nothing of Shuttle, I'd not have thought he'd play so many games.

Kal > Stork >>> Free >>>>>>>>>>>> Bisu
bisu really had nothing of note in 2010 except being removed from the team's lineup for nearly a month, it's absolutely ridiculous that people would put him as best this year. was he the best in the past? yes. but not this year. also, he's not a bonjwa by any definition...

In terms of individual league results, Free and Kal stand out as better than Stork and Bisu in 2010. Stork at least made it to a semifinal. Bisu sucked it up.

Kal's proleague form has been off and on all year and it shows in his stats. Free and Stork are at least comparable to Bisu in their proleague stats; Kal is nowhere close.

I voted for Free. I think he was the most solid overall this year and I think he tends to get under appreciated. It hasn't really been a good season for him this season, but for the rest of the year he was just more solid.

My #2 choice would probably be Stork, but he spent most of the year floundering. It wasn't until towards the end of last season that he started to really seriously gain any momentum. This season of course he is positively on fire, but he spent most of the year failing to do anything in individual leagues.

Kal is kind of a wildcard in all this.

Bisu would be my last choice. 2010 has been his worst year on record. I don't know what kind of rampant fanboyism it takes to think he's actually been the best Protoss player this year.
Even though this Proleague bullshit has been completely bogus, I really, really, really do not see how Khan can lose this. I swear I will kill myself if they do. - nesix before KHAN lost to eNature

Yeah but stork takes down jd and flash kinda often, and he doesnt even take this game seriously (cell phones for the win). It makes you wonder, how good would he be if january would quit trolling and he would put his galaxy tab and phone down lol

Stork is the only Protoss player who I wouldn't put as the underdog vs Jaedong/Flash. Unfortunately, he also has the habit of losing games he shouldn't be losing.
