하이트 이경민은 스파키즈 시절부터 프로토스전 하나만큼은 빼어난 선수였다. 상대의 다크 템플러가 자신의 본진을 공격하고 있는데도 휘둘리지 않고 침착하게 판단하는 모습에서는 노련미가 묻어났다. 통합 후 첫 경기라는 부담감이 컸겠지만 잘 털어내고 이번 시즌을 빛낼 준비를 마친 것처럼 보였다.

Q 첫 경기를 치른 소감은.
A 힘들다. 팀 통합 후 좋은 모습을 보여드려야 한다는 생각때문에 솔직히 부담스러웠다. 하지만 이렇게 팀에 보탬이 돼서 뿌듯하다. 내 자신이 대견스럽다(웃음).

Q 팀 합병 소식에 어땠나.
A 굉장히 빨리 진행돼서 상당히 어리둥절했다. 스파키즈란 팀에 정도 많이 들었기 때문에 바뀐다는 게 처음엔 낯설었다. 하지만 지내보니 팀원들 모두 서로서로 잘 맞는 것 같고 느낌이 굉장히 든든해서 좋다.

Q 오늘 출전은 예상했나.
A 실력을 검증해야 하므로 출전 기회는 있을 거라 생각했다. 진짜 평가는 연습실이 아니라 실전이 아닌가 생각한다.

Q 다크 템플러 난입은 몰랐나.
A 처음에 몰랐다. 프로브 3~4기가 잡혔을때 알았는데, 괜히 다크템플러를 피하려 프로브가 뭉치다가는 자원이 안 모일까봐 그냥 내버려 뒀다. 대신 드라군을 더 찍어냈고, 첫 옵저버는 그냥 병력에 합류시켰다.

Q 새롭게 합류한 팀원들 중 친한 사람은 누군가.
A 원래 한 팀이 되기 전에 (진)영화형이랑 친했다. 그래서 잘해줄 줄 알았던 건 내 큰 착각이었다(웃음). 영화영은 새침떼기과인 것 같다. 앞에선 내색을 안하고 뒤에서 잘 도와준다.

Q 이번 시즌 목표는.
A 광안리에 가고 싶다. 스파키즈 시절에도 팀이 광안리에 진출하기는 했지만 그때 나는 관중석에 있었다. 이번엔 실제로 경기에 출전해 도움되는 선수가 되고 싶다.

Q 마지막으로 한마디.
A 팀원들이 정말 열심히 도와줬고 코칭스탭이 신경도 많이 써주셨다. 감사드린다. 출전 기회를 주신 감독님도 감사하다. 또 지금까지의 나를 키워주신 이명근 감독님께도 감사를 전하고 싶다.
