Coach Cho saw something in Jaedong that was not apparent at the time, since he wasn't a prodigy of Flash-esque measures, and took special care to make sure that he would get as much television exposure as possible, for one thing. Jaedong flourished under Coach Cho's attentive eye, but I believe it is difficult to say whether he would have done worse, the same, or even better in a different environment. I could picture a scenario where a team simply disregards the need for yet another zerg player that did not have particularly impressive skills as an amateur player. Or a scenario where the highly skilled pre-exisisting members of a prestigious team curb the growth of a new player that quickly becomes demoralized without the presence of a mentor to guide him.

Of course, we are in no position to know how much of his development was due to his coach, and how much was due to other factors, but he definitely needed to develop.

Nothing else matters if this is true. I for one am interested in finding out what these sketchy things were. What a stupid thing to do if its true. You just betrayed the single most loyal gamer who gave 110% effort to you. I'm legit disappointed that a fully overgrown man could betray someone who is like a son to him that sweated blood and tears to carry Oz for him. Pathetic.

Say what you say about his past, what he did 3 years ago has no meaning if he sucks right now.
