I was just wondering if you guys and gals had a specific commentator that you keep going back to when watching bw or sc2, and if so why?
My personal fav is Moletrap. I have sentimental reasons for doing this, and more logical. My sentimental reason: I actually stumbled on to one of his vids on youtube because I was looking up sc2 stuff about a year ago. I'd been playing bw for years (nothing serious, just casual) and I had no idea that professional sc existed or there was such a large community around it. It was actually watching on of his vids that I found out about team liquid in the first place.
My logical reason: Moletrap has the most character out of any commentator i've listened to. Pretty much every vid he does has him bullshitting with himself, and us, about how the player is in a slump, or playing hot right now, or even how moletrap is steaming veggies on the stove while he is recording this, or letting us know that his hours have been cut back at work. I really dig the fact that he ramble in a way that entertains me way beyond the game. All the commentators can add tension with the play by play of a big battle or explain to me why the forge fast expand works really well on this map, but very few can take the dull moments of a game and liven em up like moletrap. One final thought I should put in, in general duel commentaries are the best, and nobody does duel comms better that Moletrap and Diggity, love those guys.
So, who are ya'll's favourites?

I like the trio Moletrap/Cholera/Diggity. And i guess casting alone i like Tasteless and Day9 better ^^

Cholera, too bad he's disappeared  . Rise and Cholera dual commentary's were the best, though Diggity, Moletrap and Klazart are good as well.

i liked cholera a lot. he had a really nice voice and showed a really nice personality. when i was getting into the game i listened to the other youtube guys A LOT but once i got good at starcraft their senseless "analysis" started to annoy me way too much
day9 is, for me, the obvious best. i learned quite a bit from him even when i already had a good understanding of the game. and the way he tells his rl stories is SO AMAZINGLY FUNNY :D. and i mean SO AMAZINGLY FUNNY.

he's just so chilling to listen to. i often fall asleep to his videos. when i miss to watch an OSL game live i always watch it on his channel
speaking of chilling, Chill has a very cool voice and the things he says always (or at least mostly) make sense
artosis is good too but kinda.. repetitive? i don't know how to call it but i hope you know what i mean
and i really enjoyed tasteless @ gomtv invitational and ESPECIALLY the wcgs before that but he got a bit plain after that to be honest

I was introduced to TL in August 2009 by H to the usky Husky.
But yeah, I like Day 9's commentary better

I don't like Artosis.
I don't like any of the SC2GG guys.
I don't like HD and Husky.
Diggity has the best/coolest voice for commentaries.
Tasteless and SuperDanielMan are the best and most hilarious duo.
Day[9] is the best.

The OGN guys in general were always pretty good. With rA joining them they became unstoppable.

CholeraSC was awesome. He was absolutely hilarious and gave the progamers personalities which they didn't have or couldn't show. Really great for newbies.
Diggity has the best voice. He is just so calm, that you could listen to Starcraft in your sleep.
Husky is my favourite for sure though. I followed him when he just started, and man, was he hilarious. He sounds like Cholera, but he's better at Starcraft.
Day[9] is of course the best for high-level matches so that you can appreciate the game on multiple levels.

Husky is also quite good, but i cant stand his intro "HELLOOOO, THIS IS H to the USKY HUSKY" (so annoying) ^^

day9's the best, the combat vs chill grudgematch was like the most entertaining commentating ive ever heard.

Day9 alone but I think he lacks Flare with more people. I like ARtosis too but Moletrap is how I learned about TL so he gets credit too. Pretty much all other commentators lack game knowledge like Husky for example. But atleast his voice is nice.

i used to love klaz and cholera until i started getting atleast decent at bw.
Ive always hated mole and rise, i have no idea why people think rise is funny.
Artosis is my favorite because just like day9, i learn somthing knew from him every time he commentates but unlike day9, he is terran biased.
hd has a really nice sounding voice but his bw commentaries were pretty ignorant.

I loved cholera back when he was commentating along with rise and moletrap. At first I wasn't a fan of diggity but later down the track I really started to like his commentary so he's also a favorite. Pretty much those 4 are my favorites and of course day9 + tasteless.
I think HD is nice and when hes with Husky I enjoy it just as much. I also like Chill if only he had a better mic because he's always talking with static or something. The duo's were good such as tasteless + artosis and day9 + chill. I haven't listened to them aside from day9 do solo so no comment on their solo abilities. And I loved tasteless and superdanielman =]

Honestly, the Klaz. For analysis he wasn't always "ON" (understatement?) but he had SO much passion and his play by play was just so damn exciting! I always thought that if you combined his flair with Day[9]'s analytical commentary, it would be amazing. Also, who else would bring up an Oedipus complex during a Flash vs Boxer game?
